City now has a really good chance to see better days. Not that the days weren't bright, but with so much talent in our squad, you have to expect and get more out of it.

I've been thinking that. We hardly smashed Stoke to pieces that day & it could've gone the same way. What if Hart hadn't saved so well from Jones and Begovic(?) had managed to get his toe to Yaya's shot...

When things were going well his bizarre man management "skills" could be excused, but once results and performances became regularly disappointing it became harder and harder to ignore his favouritism of Balotelli, his public criticism of players, his petulant, sulky attitude, and his team selections, tactics and substitutions. Add to that disastrous Champions League campaigns, a timid title defence, a shocking exit from the League Cup and an unforgivable Cup Final no-show.

This season's highlights were few and far between, with only the derby victory standing out - we used to win derbies with Championship (second tier) standard players. It's been a poor season however it's dressed up, and City fans can't forever be snivvellingly grateful because it's not as bad now as it was in 1998. We're either going to be great, or we're not.

I think it is a shame Roberto has left and from a fans point of view he will always be the one who won us our first Premier League.

We have to remove ourselves from the emotion of Roberto, we should be thankful that the board will not accept seasons like this. They demand more and have made the statement that we didn't achieve 1 of our goals (outside of qualification for CL).

This to me is a good sign, it means they are shooting for the stars they want dominance and i think under Roberto we would have won trophies but would we have a period of dominance? I'm not sure.

I hope they are thinking Jose and that Pellegrini is a long shot. I think the meeting with agent might be the Isco signing and a major bluff. Outside of Jose I see the only likely candidate who could dominate is Frank De Boer he is young won 3 titles in a row and has built an impressive side and understands bringing players through which I believe the board want to do.

Insipid, dull and underwhelming. This is the owners description of Mancini this season, allegedly. I have to admit that there have been too many times this season where I couldn't describe it better myself. We showed some glimpses of what we can achieve, but it was too rare.

I'll never understand what happened after the first half of last season. We were playing great stuff, destroying teams breaking records etc, then it just stopped and his arse went. I like to be entertained when I watch the match and franky this season hasn't been entertaining.

Thanks for the memories, but I stick by the notion that we won the league despite Mancini, not because. Funny how he gets the credit for the title, yet it's the players fault when things went to shit on Saturday. His man mangement stank the place out as well, talk about airing your dirty linen in public! Some people are saying that he should have had another season, I actually think he had a season too long, but of course that would have been bloody harsh!

I also don't blame the club for how this has played out. It can't be helped if the news is leaked and it was the same when Mancini came in. It's an almost impossible thing to do with the microscope on us these days.

I'm glad we have owners that have convictions and want to achieve more than we have and I don't understand why some people have a problem with this.
