Why's there not option for Gary Neville though? According to some here "he talks lot of sense" and he should be available. Great footballer as well. Must've learned lot from Sir Alex Ferguson.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Proven manager with great experience from this league. Also his teams always do better in second half.

Hell, why not.

I think we're getting Pellegrini but my option would be..

1. Mourinho - Club profile would go through the roof and never come back. We'd win stuff but I know it would be a shot romance.
2. Pellegrini - It wil be either great or terrible, time will tell. Cant see it being very long term but might be a stepping stone to Pep.
3. Klopp - Might seem ideal but would'nt come now and just too damn German for me.
4. Ancelloti - Dont like him but we'd win stuff.
5. Benitez - We'd improve in europe definately but depends how he takes to the clubs environment, doubt we'd win the league.

I couldn't handle Mourinho being our manager. He always cracks on about his love for Chelsea, Terry and Lampard.
I'm not being anyone's fling or bit on the side.

A pointless thread. Pellegrini's had the job for a significant time now. End of discussion.

Because Klopp has said he'll stay in Dortmund. Not that he would say anything else in this situation. I'm almost 100% certain that if we throw enough money on their way he would be ours.

So, we shouldn't talk about who we would actually like to be manager?

I did stipulate 'entice' in my OP. Dortmund have sold one of their star players to their closest rivals and it looks like another one could be on his way. Any manager who has the crown jewels sold from under him maybe thinking closely about his own future.

As for Ancelotti, he's been earmarked to takeover Mourinho so if we get in there with our plans, and a sizeable wedge, it's a possibility.

PS. I thought there'd be a lot more support for Maureen, and nobody wants Heynckes?

AND Dortmund are and have been for a long time essentially selling team. If anyone comes in with enough dolah they will sell their best players. Even to their closest rivals. Same goes for their manager. They are competitive because they are exceptional at finding cheaper players and managers to replace them. That's how they roll.

So saying that he isn't within our limits simply isn't true. Like I said earlier, I'm pretty sure it's Pellegrini's job but this topic very much has it's place when he hasn't even signed yet. This story could have great many turns until we actually have another manager in charge.

What the fuck do we need a manager for?

The only reasons I can see is to either safeguard the guy who is really calling the shots from any criticism or to have a decent target for Piccs to blame for anything from the pies being too cold to the bootlaces being the wrong colour.

Trixie is the boss of City football and he has already defined the new "HOLISTIC CITY WAY" of playing as 4.3.3. and what players we need to sign. We are really only looking for a puppet. Maybe we should have a choice to vote between fucking SOOTY OR BASTARD SWEEP.

...and the City manager of the month for August is......(insert as applicable)

You do have a point.

But sometimes maybe good management is just letting the players get on with it and motivating them to do so rather than interefering too much? Baconface never struck me as a brilliant tactician

They are a well run outfit in most respects and since they went bust they've been on the up. Klopp is a manager that everybody seems to like. He's the down to earth, eccentric type of character that everybody can warm to.

Would he leave Dortmund, I'm not sure.
