CL final

Postby zuricity » Sat May 18, 2013 4:57 pm

I'm in Mūnchen next weekend. I have an appointment with the Boss next Sunday.

Just doing a bit of research, on Saturday night they will open up the Allianz arena for 40,000 for free. The 'Wies'n' where they have the Oktober fest , for 30,000. at 6.50 Euros a pop and all over the City they are showing the game on Large screens .

I guess they are taking this game seriously !

I read the other day that Dortmund were allocated 25,000 tickets.......500,000 applied, that is mental.

Hummels possibly out for the final. That could be big.

yeah, Dortmund appear to have applied the brakes today . Hoffenheim , owned by the owner of SAP, were 'saved' from relegation !

Yeah except they played a full strength 11 minus the injured Gotze. I don't know how smart that was.
They couldve, and probably shouldve, benched Reus and Hummels for Grosskreutz and Santana and even Gundogan for Sahin. But they didnt...

He didn't play today though. He was already recovering and messed it up again. I don't think he was ever going to be in the final. Bayern have been fine with DvB and Dante. Dortmund, on the other hand, are losing one of their top 2, so it's a little different.

I had no idea Gotze tore his hamstring vs. Real. It'll be surprising if he plays this weekend.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

It was mentioned on the wireless this morning that when Hummels is out of the side, Dortmund alter their style of play and knock the ball long(er), rather than playing it to feet from the back.

Don't know if this was a valid comment, or not and I wonder if anyone can either confirm or refute this assertion ??

I will say that Hummels is a bit of a playmaker from deep. He often gets things going from the center of defense so i can see that theory being correct.

With that line up, it looks like, as always where a German team is concerned, it will be a boring 90 minutes and the german team wins in the end

That's a charmingly wry comment ZC, although you did omit mention of the obligatory penalty shoot-out.......

Seriously though, in a perverse way, I wouldn't mind a boring 90 minutes as, at the moment, there seems to be an ever accelerating love affair developing between the media and The Bundesliga, to the extent that the mantra "Bundesliga is best" is not now being seriously challenged or examined objectively.

An abysmally vapid and sleep inducing final might put matters into greater perspective.

Yes indeed, I'm still to be convinced there aren't any drugs hanging around from former DDR times.
The intensity these two teams have been playing this season. Since the Referee scandals some seasons ago
I reckon they are getting cleverer with not being caught !

Haven't found any dubious bank account here recently . Even Uli owned up about his recently.

Many companies have vested interests( shares) in clubs in the BL.
