At the risk of attracting some criticism let me state that I have lost fortunes over many many years betting on CITY and betting against the scum. I am a regular gambler with a good track record - rational about everything apart from my love (and blinkered view) of CITY and my utter loathing (leading to misguided/hopeful gambling) of the scum.

I set off for the match yesterday hoping to see I wonderful performance to send all us blues off with hope and positive vibes - but I was concerned about the negativity around and therefore looked at the odds.

I got tempted with the spread betting on the Norwich performance which was set at 11 - you get 10 points for a goal and 15 for a win - so I had a go at that thinking that I would not be surprised to see Norwich score which would essentially give me no risk and if they did not I would likely enjoy a CITY feast of a performance

End result was 45 so net 34 x my stake = 2013/14 Sesoncard paid for!

And I still cheered CITY all the way through (well apart from a large number of WTF shouts at the defence)
