Scott Sinclair cannot be sold!

Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair has had to have a rib removed and won't be able to train for at least three months.

The 24-year-old missed the end of the season with a blood-clot on his shoulder, and doctors have decided to remove his top rib as it was pushing on a vein, causing the clot.

The former Chelsea and Swansea player is now on blood-thinning drug warfarin, which means he is unable to play any contact football as the drug can cause excessive bleeding to an individual if cut.

City's medical team will reassess his situation in August with Sinclair only allowed back to full training if his blood clotting is back to normal levels, revealed the Daily Mirror.

Those close to Sinclair are confident the player, who has been missing since being taken ill in training on May 3, will make a full recover.

But it has come as a further blow to Sinclair after he made only two league starts for City and didn't get on the score sheet following his £6million move last summer.

He may well be loaned out, with Everton and Aston Villa two clubs who were showing an interest before this set back.

Hope he manages to recover and continue his career (here or elsewhere), sounds pretty nasty.

On the plus side can he now 'do a prince'?

I always had a bit of faith in him as a signing because I've seen him do some pretty outrageous things in the past, on loan to clubs from Chelsea. Maybe I'm just wrong but did he get much of a crack? That sitter he missed against Villa at home when we were 5-0 up seemed to take any confidence he had.

There's an outside chance he could be a Pellegrini sort of player, and get used a bit.

Good stuff, I hope he gets a real shot in this team, seems Mancini was only interested in proving a point with his purchase.

Zabba says that Pellegrini likes to play with traditional wingers. Could be good news for Sinclair.

I think he'd need the bottom rib removed for that.

Double-shit luck.

Classic!
That always makes me laugh.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

rumor at my school was Marilyn Manson.

And as someone mentioned before ... it's the bottom rib. Shame for Scott.

Coincidence that this "injury" / "medical complication" comes up just as all the shit is going down with Mancini? Conspiracy.

According to Ashley Williams autobiography apparently SS has a lot of self doubt and is very much a confidence player.

Will be an interesting example of man management by Pellegrini next season should he be fit to play.

This could be good. There was a rumor in the 1980s Cher had a rib removed (although I am sure she just had liposuction and still has a rib), and shockingly her career rebounded. Maybe Sinclair, can have similar luck.
