Hopefully I'll see a similarly exciting game when I go to New York on Saturday. Doubt it though. Fantastic game.

They only scored four. Hope they've got their shooting boots on on Saturday.

strange how excited I was just to see some of our youngsters get some game time ... We've been starved of any youth to be excited about for quite a few years now.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

If you live in America and missed the game (like myself), you can see a great quality replay at espn3.com

The OS will also probably post a 10 min highlight tomorrow. In the meantime, you can also check:

Boyata as well ... and our greatest young prospect, richard wright!

But I agree, nothing too special. I thought Rekik looked decent, and I actually thought Huws had some nice tackles/blocks in the 2nd half. Rusnak looked lively on the wing at times and Boyata had almost nothing to do. I don't think anyone stood out as special, but it's not like many on either side really did.

And yet ... i was still excited to see young players on the field ... Hope we get some more in the next game, I expect we will. Hope to see Lopes, Suarez and Razak especially.

The defending from City was criminal.

What was Micah doing that far forward at 3-3?

Perhaps just that Micah has lots of enthusiasm but not big on a football brain - which he is not (and IMO) never will be a CB.

But I was very happy I back CITY when 1 down and then again 2 down and if he had not being totally out of position I would not have won

Don't see the problem. We have the perfect defensive midfield player to drop in when Micah goes on the rampage in Garcia.

Hmmmmm but it was Javi who headed the ball across for Micah wasn't it? Ah well it was only a friendly so why not go for the win and let's face it it's one of Micha's strengths to get forward whether from full back or centre back.No doubt though that some of City's defending was awful last night so plenty of work to do for the new manager on getting the balance right between attacking with numbers and still staying solid.
