Yeh he's a rag. Diving little wanker with no end product. Their new Ashley Young.

sadly it looks like he's got a bit of something special ... and the scum will get their hooks into him early ... unlike young who wasted such a long time at villa.

I agree - he looks like a very talented player. Will find it much tougher in the Premier League, but he looks very skillful and creative, and with the right coaching could be a top player.

Fair play to Kevin Phillips - he was exactly the right player for Palace to have in that moment when the penalty was given. So calm when taking it.

I reckon we'll be ok even with this old Chilean fool taking over and the Spafia ruining things in the background.

Overall a poor game in which the commentators were determined to make it feel like a testomonial game to Zaha rather than a play off final.

Undecided on Zaha though. He's very strong and quick and good at dribbling but seems to have at the moment very little in the way of an end product.

Big potential, let's just hope he doesn't fulfil it.

Agree with this. Or... I mean, it's easy to judge someone wrongly after one game and I've only seen him play today, but he seemed to me to display not so much footballing intelligence. He'll need help to make his dribbling and running into something more than a neat trick but if he can make that though, the future might be a bright one for him.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I've seen a few playoff finals and thought the winner would go straight back down- only for them to survive.

the TV money in Prem rises to over £60m next year and even if they go down they will get £59m in parachute payments in the coming years

In the worst case scenario they get relegated next season and dont come up immediately which means that they receive £60m from next seasons TV money plus additional parachute payments of £59m (in the coming years).
-> Palace has some £110m more money than Watford. And that's excluding any additional money they will receive from higher ticket prices, sponsorship money etc.

If they're lucky they stay up and they get even more money. It's not just £60m they get from the promotion.
