Malaga play again next weekend.

Pellegrini to be announced as City manager between 10-14 days from now.

I think it will be named before that Ted, just before the announcement of Messi ;-)

Tbh, I recon Cavani or someone may be announced about the same time (just guesswork).

Regarding timings I'm just going on what Barry said mate; that's what they've told him.

I read that myself. Just seems a little late unless we're giving the new manager a weeks leave before he joins.

Maybe we've already sacked him before he starts.

[QUOTE="Beefymcfc"]I think I'll pull some stats together proving that Grinho isn't nowhere near as good as is suggested.

Double negative. If he isn't nowhere near as good as suggested you're saying he is good. Well done.

Those 'Double Negatives' eh, I thought they were people who just wanted a manager out, regardless. Ah well, you live and learn.

The real irony here is that I'm being picked up by somebody who can't even use the quote function ;-)

Those people you speak of, are known as "fans who know what they're talking about"
It's an easy mistake to make on your part.

Yep, you're probably right there. What was your view on us winning the league last year?

As did we all but tell me, as being a "fans who know what they're talking about", what were your thoughts after the Arsenal match, were you right in your views that we would win the league?

Anybody know why their league is finishing so late? The CL final usually sounds the end of the European season yet if Barca and Real would've got to the final they'd still have a game, or 2, to play domestically?

Despite whats said it looks like he will be named next week sometime, after the leauge in spain is over. He is still in charge and it would be very unprofessional of him to be spouting on about his next club while still in charge of Malaga.
I think from what ive seen he has handled it reasonably well so far.

I hope all this press is true, or, if it isn't, we have a better alternative.

Does anyone have a feeling that he could choose another club?

Then what? Thank god Benitez has gone to Napoli, couldn't cope with him.

Sorry for the pessimism, but after 31 roller coaster years supporting city, a positive can quickly turn in to a negative.

I will be much happier when all this is out in the open.

As other have mentioned elsewhere it is logical to assume (if he is coming that is) that Pellegrini will bring some if not all his own back room staff, so I thought i'd try and get some background info on them............

Rubén Cousillas Assistant coach:

56yrs old, Argentinian who has been with Pellegrini Since joining him at San Lorenzo in 2001, he was a GK during his playing days, mainly in Argentina.

Xabi Mancisidor Goalkeeping coach:

42yr old Spanish. playing career was between the sticks for Mallorca, retiring in 1998. Coaching started at Real Sociedad (roughly 11yrs from what I can make out) & then joined Pellegrini at Real Madrid in 09 before following him to Malaga.

There were 2 or 3 others but all appear to be not high achieving as players or in coaching or managing from what I could see and are also local to the Andalucía region going by the clubs they have worked at.

Pellegrini certainly seems to have faith Cousillas and I reckon he'll bring Xabi too the others I doubt he'll bring.

So the big question is how will Brian Kidd fit in with this? As he did with BobbyManc i.e. the English connection, players go to man?

Finally, we can start sacking him soon. Excellent.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
