Torres looked like a broken man last season and pretty much carried it on this. However, he does seem to be getting back a bit of form and if he continues he could be a player once more.

With Edin, I was certain he was going but with the change over I'm not so sure now.

Me neither but if the deal with Napoli was genuine, I think it would be good for City & good for Dzeko; he would probably get as many goals as Cavani & we would get a grafter up front, which would help balance our team.

Cavani is going to City i m sure but i do not know how big is wish in Edin to go back to Germany if is not to big he will go to Napoli and i also think he will do good there but maybe hes waiting and have some deal with City first to see if Lewandowski go from Dortmund.

I can't see us doing a swap deal mate and the links from the media have always been tenuous to say the least. I can also see us not wanting to have 4 top class strikers as before and revert back to a 2+2 system where the +2 are more forward players than out and out strikers. We could also see a lot of Guidetti next season which cuts the places down again.

Carlos Tevez moving on?

I think we will offer Tevez a deal.

Pellegrini likes two up front, so 4 strikers is possibly on the cards imo, but I could imagine one of them being a bit of an attacking mid/striker (but that could be Tevez). Guidetti's injury couldn't have come at a worse time & now he only has a short time to prove himself. Cavani, Aguero, Tevez, Guidetti may be a possibility but only if Guidetti is seriously impressive whe Pellegrini has a look at him. What I've seen on City TV he's still a way to go before he's back to full fitness but the touches & goals are coming along.

I want some midfielders at the club who score though. What an asset Scholes was to the scum & Lampard to Chelsea.

We should grab Fabregas and modric as the +2 forward's. with aguero, tevez and dzeko/Cavani. Then silva, Milner and yaya.

With those lot we would not struggle to score against anyone.

I'd like to see Fabregas here if he's fallen out of love with Barca - just to rub Arsenal's nose in it even more. They can take their league FFP and their headed notepaper and stick it. (Some extra creation would just be an added bonus).

People always throw around that 'first refusal' stuff ... I have never seen it confirmed or even spoken of by any official source. That includes are supposed "first refusal" on neymar, or balotelli, or anything like that.

I cant find where I read it (sorry) but I found this:
Arsenal's sense of loss from Cesc Fabregas' departure softened by clauses in his Barcelona contract
Arsenal have secured both a 'buy back’ option and a 50 per cent sell-on clause if Barcelona ever decide to sell Cesc Fabregas.

While Barcelona believe the deal is worth no more than €40 million (£35 million), Arsenal value the transfer at almost £40 million after Fabregas agreed to waive a £4 million loyalty bonus.
Arsenal will receive €14.5 million up front, with another €14.5 million to be paid in October. A further €1 million will be released for each year of a contract that lasts until 2016.
Providing Fabregas wins one European Cup and two La Liga titles over the next five years, Arsenal will receive a further €6 million.
Although Barcelona have placed a huge buy-out clause of €200 million (£176 million) in Fabregas’s contract, they have agreed to give Arsenal first refusal should they eventually decide to sell.
If Arsenal were to refuse that option, they would still be entitled to half of Fabregas’s next transfer fee.

Barring some kind of miracle, the next time Radamel Falcao turns out at the Vicente Calderon he won't be wearing the colchoneros' red-and-white. There is no official word yet but the way the Colombian striker saluted the fans -- and the fact that Atletico boss Diego Simeone simply said "Whatever happens to him, I'll be happy, he has given his all" -- leaves little doubt that he's on his way out.

And every indication points to him rocking up in Monaco, the one club seemingly willing and able to match his $77.5 million release clause.

Of course, swapping Madrid for the Principality means no Champions League football until 2014-15 at the earliest. It means playing in front of 10,000 or so supporters. It means giving up La Liga and those regular clashes with Real Madrid and Barcelona for Le Championnat, which for now at least offers little in terms of glamour beyond Paris St. Germain.

So why do it? You could name half a dozen clubs who could use a center-forward with his skill-set, all of them capable of putting serious money on the table from Manchester City to Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea to Juventus, Bayern Munich to Real Madrid.

The cynics will point to his paycheck but that can only be part of the story. It's not as if he would have earned much less at any of those other clubs. They'll cite the fact that Atletico are cash-strapped and that no other club was likely willing to push past the $50m mark for the Colombian striker's services. That may be true, but Falcao has a say in this too. Or, at least, he should.

The reality is that this situation is far from transparent. His past includes a web of third-party owners and outside investors funding transfer fees (to Porto and to Atletico).
His agent has already sent two high profile clients -- Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez -- to Monaco, so evidently there's a good vibe between him and owner Dmitry Rybolovlev.

You just hope that Falcao is doing what's best for him and was as free as he could be from the pressures and priorities of others in making his decision.

For me stupid move by Falcao like article points out "Of course, swapping Madrid for the Principality means no Champions League football until 2014-15 at the earliest. So why then ?

Am I right in thinking that the transfer window doesn't open until 1st July?

That was my thinking, but is there a blanket ban on us announcing who we've signed until then or can we say we've sighed x to go through on 1 July?

If not all the European seasons are over it wouldn't be good form to announce any deals until they are done and dusted to say the least

The 1st of July is only the date when a player officially can change clubs & the deals can be agreed at any date before that, no?

Just like Monaco and Porto just agreed a deal for those two lads, but they officially wont be Monaco's players until July 1st.(?)

Silva's transfer was also announced in June 2010.
