I had a giggle not long ago, apparently Hodgson was grumbling about us leaving him with only a couple of days between our US exhibition matches and this (meaningless) friendly. Now he knows how we feel at the start of every fricking season when England ruin our preseason preparation by hijacking our players to earn themselves some cash.

Same here. Lost interest in England after the shambolic displays in the 2010 world cup

Can't wait. It's not often you get to see 22 English-born international players on one pitch.

The only good thing about International football is I don't have to put argue with the Mrs when she is insisting on watching Corrie.

1853: BREAKING ENGLAND TEAM NEWS

Wayne Rooney and Daniel Sturridge will start up front for England, with Arsenal duo Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain offering plenty of pace on the flanks.

Well, that's cheered me up no end. Looks like the Rags and Arse are the only ones worth reporting on.

It's been a long time. I think it should make for a decent atmosphere.

Ireland going for 5 in row unbeaten against the evil empire ;-)

Sean St ledger & Jonathon Walters are the only two English players they are likely to be fielding that I can think of? But Aidan McGeady & James McCarthy are both Scottish.

The only interest for me is to watch City players perform. Just saw the lineup and only Hart is starting. Switching to Germany v Ecuador ! Germany leading 2-0 after 5 minutes !!
