He play really good start of the season and if we not bring any defenders i would give him one year more , but i think he would do good in Liverpool wish him luck. I m always sad when player i respect leaves and Kolo i respect.

Good luck Kolo. It was the right time to move him on as he was on chunky wages and this may allow another player to develop in his place

But probably on a longer contract. I can't see too many places offering him more than a one-year contract on 80k, or 2 on say 50-65k...

Kolo was first class when used this season. It got to the point where I wanted him as the starting CB which means vinny has a lot to improve on for next season. Yaya can still knock around with his bro though which is good as they always bang on about their family ties. Should keep yaya sweet for a couple more seasons.

Sorry to see him go, hopefully this paves the way for Rekik to step up.

I agree. Kolo was a bit frightning early season but he settled really well, & although he's terrible positionally, he doesn't half come out win a lot of important challenges & help others in trouble (something whinch Nasti badly lacks imo).

Vinny really has been poor this season. He's often looked as bad as he did when Hughes first tried him at CB & he got bitched.

Served the club well while with us. Played his part in winning us trophies. Goodbye and good luck Kolo.

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time any of our players went to Liverpool ?

Not directly to Liverpool, but Sturidge via Chelsea.
Riera via another club in Europe; not sure which one.

Quite a few as it turns out.

Where did they live when one was in Barcelona and one was in London?

South of France, long commute.

I know what you're saying but if your brother plays for a club 45 minutes from yours then you are going to live near each other arnt you? I just think that this transfer will be good for us as Yaya is more likely to stay here if he has family close by.

I believe we released Fowler so he could go back to Liverpool.

Bellamy went straight from us.

Yes Fowler turned up there like the returning prodigal son, but was shite for them as well - if I remember rightly a free transfer in the January window.

Bellamy went on loan to Cardiff from us in some costly bloody deal for us, came back and we sent him off to the red scousers as Cardiff wanted another shite deal for him to go back (pos. permanently) - again it was clouded in mystery, but might have been sweet fa cost wise

Completely forgot Fowler went back to them but he was theirs to start with ! Bellamy's loan season with Cardiff threw me off so he's probably the only genuine case before Kolo.
