They've gone out of their way to put have a dig at City. For no reason whatsoever. But hey, they're not a bunch of rag lovers though...

Because new owners have come in, new owners who weren't in place when everything above was written.

To be honest I just saw the promotional material doing the rounds on fb, and it is an idiotic move from them, alienating both potential customers who follow united AND City - because I see it as a dig at both clubs to be honest.

But the wording I have to admit is fucking bizarre, I just don't know why on earth the new owners would have done that.

And the bit about City doesn't even make any sense.

I've just checked the bury fb, there are images on there, but this one doesnt look like it was issued by the club from what I can see.

Still, either way i'm really surprised to see this given the support both clubs have given bury over the years. They need to be careful what they wish for imo.

Owners buy a lower league club because they dont have the money to buy a top club. Which means that sooner or later one of two things is going to happen, they get tired of bankrolling the club, or they run out of money. It very rarely has a happy ending this story, which makes me all the more grateful for the owners at city

They've lowered season ticket prices to £200 for adults and £100 for concessions. (feel free to copy this City) Match day tickets have been reduced to £15 so basically they are trying to follow Hartlepools example and just get eyeballs on their football. BIg issue with lowering the season ticket prices is that you have to almost double your numbers just to earn the same money and Bury have a crowd of 2,000 regardless of whether they are top of the Premier League or bottom of the conference and £15 is not exactly going to entice the neutral either.

It will be interesting to keep an eye on their crowds this season in comparison to Stockport (season tickets are £220) in the Conference North and FSCUM in the Evo Stik.

Spot on, it was £17 to start with.

I just don't trust this takeover - I really haven't read much about I to be honest, but it really does seen like one of those which is gonna end badly.

I'm not sure. I take your point but we would hate it happening to us. We're all football fans when all is said and done.

It's not happy. Want them to do well, we were there once, hence the thread. People have long memories and there attitude towards us, understandable, angers people. Oh David Morley!

Thing is, that's not all that low. My adult season ticket at City is double that, but it's only £115 for an under 16. And that's to watch world class players every week, not a game I could see for free on any field in a Sunday.

The marketing they're using is also ridiculous, as they have to accept that a lot of their customers will be supporters of one of the premier league clubs who either can't get to a game or are away that weekend. But if you're just going to take the piss, we can go to Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport etc.
