I've always enjoyed watching him because I love traditional wingers.
This will be interesting because if Pellegrini doesn't use traditional widemen Navas could turn out to be huge flop. Then again, with proper centerforward he could be massive hit. First test whether La eMe brings players for the sake of it or to suit managers system.

I also agree. He scores goals even when he's shit so imagine if we were able to make him good.

How much Spanish football do you watch? He's neither shit nor old. People were saying the same kinds of things about Soldado and Negredo the other week, and I'm sure they were just pulling their 'opinions' out of their arses without actually having much of a clue. I'm not saying that's the case here, but is it?

He is 27 which in football terms and especially for a winger is old. He has never looked world class, just decent. At that age I can't see him getting any better in a harder league.

Don't think he is the type of guy we need to be bringing in. Seems like de ja vu with the chaff we got last season. I don't see him taking us to the next level so i don't see the point in signing him.

Everyone seems to get really excited these days when we sign a player and all the sudden he is great when deep down we all know we haven't signed anyone above average since aguero and signing navas would just carry on that trend.

Navas is going to be a marmite signing.

He comes with mental baggage (suffers from gross apprehension and anxiety problems), therefore this could be a problem living in a country he is not used to.

He does come with potential. We don't have anyone like him, so he could make it his own and cause problems for opponents if used properly.

Overall, I would give him a miss. There are others wingers i would rather spend the money on.

If there's one thing I CAN guarantee, it's that he wouldn't cost 25M. Spanish clubs are all in such dire financial straits that they have to entertain all realistic offers. If he comes, expect the price to be in the 13-17M bracket.

I think Bayern and Borussia play that way . Never mind Dzeko we can find other target man even do i think hes on same level like Lewandowski and Mandzukic or Gomez .But that style is beat Real and Barcelona this year course with good midfield players and strong defense.

Spot on..I dont see why we can't at least have the option of using our midfielders playing on their "strong side" or our overlapping defenders going to the dead ball line to get crosses in. Even if we don't use wingers we need to be able to use width sometimes if we cant break through the middle. Using wingers does not mean long ball football per se.

Sucked balls this year for sure. Whether that was just slump in form or permanent drop in quality remains to be seen.

If we try to use him in any other way than traditional winger going past fullback and putting crosses in this is going to turn out pretty bad. Good but very one dimensional player. Zero versatility.
