After the loss tonight, I have my doubts. I'll give him one more game to convince me he's good enough.

Hoorah we will soon have a new manager. Fresh from a 4-1 drumming and a 6th place finish in a league that only has 2 teams.

He's got a point. Well, at least a point more than Pellers got.

Only according to the media.

I still think the board will sit down with Pello with a list of players they have spoken to and together they will prioritise which positions will need strengthening and which players will do that for us.

Isco will be on the list, but his position isn't a priority.

I can't understand why Isco was such a big thing when we've got Dave. Like you say, the priorites are not AM, the places we need to strengthen are where we had nothing last season, on the wings.

Suppose its a concern how often he and nasri have misfired

Although I think from what I hear Dave and isco could both play in an advanced inside forward sort of role on a 433, so he may be on the agenda for that rather than just as a midfielder

It's a proposition but could we afford to have a full contingent of fairly world class players? Although 4-3-3, Pellegrini seems to prefer a 4-2-3-1 type of formation, similar to what we have now so with the players we already have, I'm not sure if he's quite the player we want to bring in.

It's only the media who have forced this issue.

Media are on to everything and anything!

Isco is a good talent with plenty of potential. He can play on the wing, in CM or in the ACM position which makes him a versatile player.

BUT

As said previously, wings were an issue last season with all our general play mainly coming from central channels which didn't give our strikers the opportunities when teams parked the bus.

Wings will be a priority. I think they will look at the LB and CB position and possibly Cavani as a striker. If we don't get Cavani, I don't see any other striker coming.

I was absolutley certain that Edin would go this season and that a deal had already been done but I'm not sure now. With a new manager coming in and the fact that we will no doubt bring wide forward players in then I can see him being a real asset.

Only time will tell.

We do need to sign 'another' Dave as he cant carry the load all season and Nasri isnt the same kind of player.
