Yep, was Zab's sent off? Did it affect the game?

Or was it deserved?

Sending off was deserved but did not affect outcome imo. On that showing we would have lost with 12.

Have to agree with this. I didn't think Pablo needed to make that second tackle but he was, of course, covering for our all round shitness today.

Don't know if it was that really, I think that he was more pissed off with himself at his pointless rash 2nd challenge

Not getting at him as we were all beyond shite and he has been awesome this season but that tackle was Sunday league at best

from where I was sat, the wigan lad with the fussy hair give zab a run around today, time after time he left the lad to go into the pen box and leave the lad with loads of room to attack, but the whole team from manager to players was a utter shambles. WANK

And rightly so. How the fuck Barry stayed on the pitch but Nasri and Tevez came off is beyond me.

Zabba well and truly fell on his sword for the team yesterday with that tackle... I think McManaman would have scored.

Bit gutted for Zabman yesterday, he definitely took one for the team and really had no choice but to get in the way of McManaman for the second yellow. He showed his usual desire and passion and was helped immensely when Milner came on.

Absolute shame he got sent off. It should have been a final to remember for the right reasons with the season he has had.
Still, he has easily been the best player this year.

Our POTY picked an awful day to have his worst performance of the season.

Both his yellow cards were careless. 9 times out of 10 that was a penalty. The only reason it was not is because the Wigan player was to honest at first then threw himself to the ground once it was a lost cause.

He looked like the Zabba we signed who was a only ever a challenge away from being sent off at anytime and not the outstanding right back we have all seen in the past two years.

He had to be like that because players around him, especially Barry, were giving the ball away nine times out of ten leaving Zaba in an awkward position.

Named as MCFC player of the year. was never in doubt tho. Congrats Zabba & keep it up next season!

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2013/June/Zabaleta-named-Player-of-the-Year
Pablo Zabaleta has been voted the Etihad Manchester City FC Player of the Year for 2013/14.

‘Zaba’, who joined the Blues from Espanyol in 2008, received 68% of the votes polled by official supporters’ clubs and fans online after a superb season during which he clocked up 42 appearances and scored three goals.

Pablo also wore the captain’s armband on numerous occasions in Vincent Kompany’s absence and also won successive Etihad Player of the Month awards for January and February.

Never afraid to put his body on the line, his numerous gashes, bumps and scrapes have endeared him to City fans for whom he has become a cult hero over the past few years.

Pablo said: “I would like to say thank you to all the City fans who voted for me. This is a great personal honour and sits alongside winning the Premier League title, captaining City and playing for my country.

“The fans have always been fantastic towards me and shown me a lot of love and respect and I can assure them the feeling is mutual.”

He has so far played 193 times for the Blues, scoring seven goals to date.

Carlos Tevez made it an Argentine double finishing second with Matija Nastasic finishing third, Edin Dzeko fourth and Sergio Aguero fifth.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote.

He gets a lot of support from City fans at every match.....and quite rightly imo.
I hope Pellegrini keeps him and uses him correctly.
