Do you think he'll turn out better than Falcao?

if he did it would take 3-4 years to know that at least and it's maybe 85% certain imho that he won't ever be as good as Falcao.

He's going to for sure be a good striker, but a truly great one? Time will tell. I do like the cut of his jib but Chelsea wouldn't be stupid enough to sell him on. Esp. with Jose coming in....

Rodrigo from Benfica would fit nicely I reckon!

Young (21)
Talented
Works hard
Good pace
Great finishing
Strong

Almost a young Tevez!

He's a bargain as well for his ability and potential around 10 mill he's worth

I agree with whoever said in a thread a few days back, that we should be trying to find out who Atletico are trying to sign to replace Falcao - they really have had the midas touch this last decade.

Forlan, Torres, Aguero, Falcao - not a bad run for a team generally in mid table throughout that period.

Sure you did sweetheart, you are well known around these parts for original thoughts.

I found it because I was involved in the conversation.

I was never going to crush dazby, I was merely going to point out where he was wrong to bank on a player staying with the club for nine seasons, not suffering from second season syndrome, not being a bargain due to him being bought from Chelsea, how City's side is made up of people who didn't play in the Premier League before they came here, how his crystal ball cannot pick when a player will peak or for how long, how banking on a decade of service won't work out due to injuries/form/drinking and lastly his errors in mathematics. In the end I couldn't be bothered.

I find it funny how as a team we performed a lot better when he wasn't around and then this season we more or less reverted back to what we were in Mancini's first full year, perhaps it's just a coincidence.

Very one eyed statement.

We didn't look too hot before his return in the title season.

It was Lukaku by the way. And you couldn't be bothered because your argument wouldn't have been strong enough, save the Chelsea bit.

Tevez is sold for £25m to Juventus. Taking his wages oout of the accounts of his reported £250,000 p/w wages (£12m per annum) the owners charge you to sign a replacement using just the £37m raised from the sale of Tevez. Who do you bring in?

Although Tevez (due to remainder of contract) is worth considerably less than £25M, you're forgetting to factor in the unspent Balo cash...

Also forgetting that not all of the Tevez wage can be translated into purchase money because the purchase will also require a salary of some sort. . . added thought is that we simply won't get £25M for a guy with only 1 year on his contract - IMO £10M-£15M would be likely and £20M would be fantastic.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

20m would be fantastic-beyond fantastic and for someone who is clearly a bit of a nutjob, also a figure we won't get. That's why I'm all for extending him by a year or two and then letting him go for free once his best years are truly behind him
