Thought so. After the Kaka fiasco I don't believe it until it's on the club's website as official.

Was that a joke? That was quite funny anyway.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

I've not read every post on this thread so apologies if already mentioned, but I see Benitez has been confirmed as Napoli's new manager. So things may start to fall in place where Cavanni's future is concerned pretty soon.

The delusional one was at the play-off final today watching one of Chelsea's loan players.

Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis claims that Chelsea want to sign striker Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguay international is also a target for Manchester City after notching 102 goals in 124 matches for the club in all competitions over three seasons, but a player-plus-cash deal involving Edin Dzeko stalled earlier this week.

Jose Mourinho was announced as Chelsea's new manager on Monday, signing a four-year deal, and looks close to completing a move for Schalke midfielder Andre Schurrle, but De Laurentiis has now claimed the Portuguese is after further attacking talents.

The Italian told Radio Marte: "Chelsea want Cavani. 'Blues' will call me in the next hours about it..."

"If Edinson stays in Napoli I will be happy. If he goes, we'll replace him using the €63 million from his sale."

De Laurentiis also confirmed that Napoli made an approach for Andre Villas-Boas, which was thwarted by the Tottenham boss' £10 million buy-out clause, before appointing Rafael Benitez.

"I contacted Villas-Boas, but he had to go in the USA on tour, so I spoke with Rafa Benitez and he convinced me to choose him immediately."

It would appear he is trying to get more than the value for his star player, mind games hey!!

Remember when everyone wanted to sign him. This is what worries me about players from Italy, its just such a shit league.

But Cavani is a ridiculous finisher with both feet, good in the air and he has balls. I don't remember another player that has scored a diving header. So I'm hoping he is just gonna do an aguero, walk into the prem and start fucking shit up (without the shit second season).

Yes watch our title winning season and Cavani looks lethal - still not sure if Cavani / Lavezzi / Hamsik were a greater collective than they are individually - although to some degree Cavani has proved himself since so hopefully for our sake (if he does sign) that he's still the dog's

I've a close family member who's spastic and although she's a gem, it's a big burden on the family to care for her and she herself has a lot of health issues to deal with. In short it's one of those things in life that's very sad.

It's offensive to hear someone using some poor unfortunate's misery to use as an insult or to have a laugh.

To hear it used to describe Bosnian people, along with the refugee reference to their recent tragic history, is at best pig ignorant, and at worst a deeply offensive racial slur on Bosnians.

Sorry, nothing personal to any individual posters, but I have to speak out when I hear this kind of talk

Fuck me. Are we really here again?

Maybe Ant and I should get a retroactive ban so you cunts can feel a sense of justice?

Honestly, never in my life has either term been deemed as some horrifically offensive word. My alologies if your cultural experiences have been otherwise. I'm not trying to be flippant.

Some things are banter for some and poor taste to others, but that's part of forums (or forii!). If I dont like the look of something I just ignore it.

There's very few things we should get really upset about, otherwise dont bother with forums at all.

I was also blissfully unaware that spastic was that much of a derogatory term. That's probably good proof that I've - although I like to say "mate" and "cheers" - mainly learnt (or rather learned) English from a US perspective.

We're in good company, though. Tiger woods apparently got shit in the UK for saying he was a "spaz" on the green, when he had a bad day with his putter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spastic
