Quitting City

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Several times on here posters have said 'if we sign x then I'm not supporting City again'. Which I have never been able to understand.
No is the answer. I support them through everything.

Can't say I have. I've never come across a real supporter who would abandon their team altogether. Maybe become an armchair supporter due to finances (starting a family) or poor performance (Stockport).

Ok, swap "City" for "Dortmund".

Just a reference to the other on-going discussion in the other thread about when you started supporting city but nothing serious, hence the ";)".
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

It'd be like quitting fags, beer, women, cars and everything else under the son, you may as well become a monk.

You must have a big son. I never thought of using kids for storage.

It's in the blood so couldnt, like its part of the DNA.

The Stu Pearce season almost killed everyone off i think, last game of that season that was only briefly punctuated by 'beanie' was like everone was leaving a wake, we all said our goodbyes in a way that you may never see that person again. Think everyone wanted to jack at that stage, but when renewal came through it was just instinct.

Its different when you're playing shite and in crap leagues scrapping for everything, feels like your part of a niche rebellion scrapping with stone clubs. But that Stu Pearce season was suicide watch it was so damn dull!

The only possible times are the obvious ones already mentioned i.e. the Swales and Pearce eras. Neither had a clue on how to take our great club forwards either at chairman or manager level.

Was kind of forced into it in the mid 90's.

Moved to Oz, football got less and less coverage and we dropped out the prem anyway, which was the only thing even mentioned here. Slim was clearly more macguyver like than I and got some special radio, but I honestly never thought of it.

I did get pay tv with the 1st pay cheque I got working after school at KFC tho and from then it was back on.

Anyway. I had a season ticket when Pearce was in charge but for the last few games of the season didn't bother going. Says a lot when I used to go full time when we were in Division 2. He nearly stopped me going.

If we'd signed Rooney a couple of seasons ago I would have packed football.

Would you actually though? You'd let the signing of one player stop you following us?
I can't understand this, no one player is ever bigger then the club, no matter how much of a cunt he is.

Yes I would.

I support the players that pull on the shirt. I wouldn't support an horrible human being like him.

Terry or Suarez would do it for me, I think I'd give football a rest till they were gone.

I see You are still trying to enhance Your personal twists of the "moving on" concept, also trying to trade my openly stated intention to stay off the revisionist agenda You are running with the support of other cheating morons, for the fact that I left.

Keep delude Yourself.

PETER SWALES THE FUCKING CHAIRMAN you bunny boiling weirdo.

Point taken, Apologies delivered.

Quite liking the "bunny boiling weirdo" thingy, tbh. nicely put.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...
