Oneupmanship

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Oneupmanship

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Sun Jun 09, 2013 6:33 pm

Every topic I open these days there are bunch of people having a fucking go at each other over who has followed City and for how long. It's tiresome. We are all Blues, some older, some newer. This used to be open place where everyone was welcome. The more the merrier.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Couldn't agree more. Rarely post these days as its just descended into an absolute bicker fest. Bored of arguments over Mancini or a certain player's transfer fee or whatever. So tedious.

Typical of a newcomer to say that

PS - I agree. I've actually started looking on Bluemoon for football related news, it's got that bad

It's ironic really. The only place I have ever been called a rag is on this mancityfans forum.

Doesn't take long before a topic descends into a slanging match.

Is it me, or does it happen more often these days?

Chelsea talk about the second coming, so City buy Jesus.

Now thats oneupmanship.

Seriously though, I think things will calm down one city finally appoint a manager.

I know what you are saying but there are two types who have never been welcome here. Rags and wums. It is an open place but perhaps a little more moderating would not go amiss. Off season brings out the madness but it does seem particularly mental this year. We may be all blue but some some a blue first and some are blue because they are fans of an individual who is blue. There is an inherent conflict therein. Maybe a few more yellow cards from the mods?

unfortunately gillie light blue user name just means you know everything and are attractive to women. If we could bang their heads together we would. But Dub you should be careful what you wish for :)
Green are the ones gillie and as ever I'm grateful for the great job they do and don't blame them when someone lets their "mouth" run away
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

I dont post that often, but when I read what's going on ,I think I made s good decision. I don't care where u from, I will listen to ur opinion. I just think we shouldn't judge each other on opinions.

agree. i think the off season leads to madness. players/managers coming and going and everyone is going to have a different opinion of them, and no one likes to read stuff that disproves their own opinion.

i know that im new here and a relatively new City fan (especially compared to many on here that have been fans longer than ive been alive) but i'd like to think that, despite not knowing as much or having been around as long, that I am part of the "City supporters".

Exactly mate opinions are just that.Someone's take on things that you or I may or may not agree on but it dose'nt mean that they are wrong it also means that they should have the right to be respected.Where things have gone wrong imo are that posters have been getting personal about said opinions and that should be a no no imo.
