scum, smoke and mirrors

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

scum, smoke and mirrors

Postby Bianchi on Ice » Sun Jun 16, 2013 4:25 pm

Finding it mildly amusing how every lazy scum licking journo seems to think they just need to click their fingers and all the worlds best will flock to the mouse infested swamp. I keep saying "where is the money to fund it?"...the financial straight jacket the glazers have placed on them does not exist, apparently...severe case of denial. "no value in the market" said sir cunt....no no no...just that you couldnt pick and choose who you wanted anymore...
And pay 30million a time for it....

It will be interesting to see what business they do this window.

Are they trying to put everything into somehow getting tranny back? I'd imagine so. I also think it could be the only thing that could put them in the mix for the title.

That said, the balance of that team is and was off. Had every team attacked them, we would have been closer to them, even with us having an off season.

They are built purely on attack and that alone should cause moyes problems from the off.

I have a feeling at some point in the future Ronaldo will go back to them. Maybe for a season or two but not till the end of his career.

Hmmm, maybe if Baconface was still manager. Tranny would probably have to take a wage cut - would he do it fow Moyes?

You can never know with that lot.I have a feeling they want to bring back Ronaldo but i have no idea how they could possibly finance a deal unless they can offload Shrek for silly money it looks nothing but a pipe dream for the hordes of glory hunters. It's beyond me but they all seem to believe a deal for Ronaldo is a mere formality.A more realistic viewpoint would be Moyles attracting Baines and Fellaini and they can all then big them up as world beaters as they do all signings.I really am looking forward to seeing how they cope without Sir Purple nose at the helm.

I don't think it will matter who they sign, who leaves or even if they all went down with the plague, they'd still get the 3 points with no men on the pitch.

Some Filth monger at my running club was in about this and was adamant that Nike were gonna sponsor the deal and his wages were gonna be £300 grand a week

That's a lazy theory when you look at it.

He is already contracted to them to shift their boots and sportswear, so its not like they get a new poster boy by virtue of him going to united - they already have him.

There will be some value to them no doubt, but the amount of additional united gear which would have to be sold to justify the outlay AND the wages just wouldn't make any financial sense when you look at the official shirt sales numbers over the last 5 years or so for united / real

Tranny is a marde arse so wherever he is something will be annoying him. He will stay at Madrid, probs to nearly the end of his career imo. Real are his childhood team and he only had a problem with Moureen, whos gone, the president said he will stay for life and I think they will make sure that happens.
The rags are clutching at straws assuming his denial of signing a contract is anything serious, Tranny is probs holding out for his own sauna room at the Bernabéu, or his own personal chef or some such trivial shit.

aside from that it is going to be somewhat interesting this season with the extra magnifying lens applied to everything that Golum does or doesn't do. There is going to be a lot of pressure on Moyes simply from all the rag journos out there, worrying and writing about it.
CL will really pile it on.

I wonder how long it will be before we see an 'intervention' from Bacon ? 7 months is my bet

I can imagine them kicking off the season, battering the fuck out of several teams with everybody in the media giving it the full wankathon & telling us how they are EVEN BETTER, then suddenly, getting absolutely fucking annihilated by someone like our good selves, then, due to the lack of Ferguson, every man & his dog kicking the living shit out of them & the fans shitting it & the wheels coming right off.

Imo Moyes has really improved as a coach in the last few years & started playing football, but he has never had to manage under the pressure of expectation & has never had to try & win games. He has also never managed 'big' players. Rags have won stuff in a different manner to other clubs, almost through voodoo. I think the wheels will come off when they have a setback.

I imagine Ronaldo may possibly go back there one day, but it will be like Fowler to Liverpool & if Moyes was still there, he would get him sacked.

I hope they waste all summer going after him only for him to stay at Madrid, then Rooney moves late and RVP does his knee in the first game.

The idea that the tranny would take a pay-cut to go to the theatre of bog-eyed monsters is hilarious. But not as hilarious as the idea that Bale would end up at the swamp.

It was leaked that they were getting Falcao straight after we beat them, can't see any difference here.

I'm hoping they lose to Wigan, draw at home with Cardiff in their first game before losing away at Chelsea and then home to us - 3 games in, 8 points off the lead and in the bottom 3. Sounds unlikely, but it's how Everton usually started under him.

Nah ! He's confusing Gollum with Hughes, he usually has his team in the bottom three before Xmas.

That's a good plausible scenario, I'd buy that.
My own version is they keep the wheels on and basically kind of carry on as if they were under Bacon for about 5 months... until something about Moyes's style coupled with a defeat or two starts some of the " less convinced about Moyes " players to start grumbling and playing up publically. At which point the lid will pop off and a sound akin to a winch cable unravelling at speed will echo round the swamp and onto the back pages of the rag press. Journos just won't be able to stop themselves and will just fuel a situation where Bacon is basically forced to come out and call for calm. That will be the point that Moyes is totally undermined loses all credibility at the swamp and becomes a lame duck. Their season will go to pieces and Moyes will be out come July.
