Tranaldo rumours

Postby Im_Spartacus » Tue Jun 18, 2013 6:53 pm

Keep hearing rumours tonight about this alleged 100m euro bid for tranny, and I have to admit I'm getting a little concerned that:

1: We are at the centre of it.
2: Chelsea are the club making the bid (would give them a boost to realistically challenge us)

I just can't conceive that united are able to pull this off, not that Ronaldo would trust his last massive move to a manager like Moyes with the potential for so much turmoil or at the very least big changes at united.

I also cant conceive that he is going to go and play in France no matter how much money they offer, which leaves us and Chelsea as the only realistic contenders from a financial perspective.

From a commercial point of view, Ronaldo is the biggest box office in world football and would massively increase the profile of Abu Dhabi, which at the end of the day is the whole reason for our owners being here.

All this talk about Nike funding a deal for united, I just don buy as he is already signed to Nike, but if they want to get him wearing their football shirts as well as boots, it also points towards us as an option.

Brace yourselves chaps, I've got a feeling about this one.

I can't see it myself.

Also, is this just based on a couple of Twatter rumours that someone's bid €100 million for him?

I think the owners' no. 1 goal as far as players go is messi.

While I wouldn't rule out the possibility of them wanting ronaldo, unless they think they will never get messi, it is highly unlikely.

We would never have both.

One on the left and one on the right? Might need to play with two footballs though.

didn't Mourinho say that he thought Ronaldo should put off any move for a while (to run down his contract) so that Chelsea could afford him?
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

It'll be PSG or Monaco, if there is any truth at all in it.

They look as if they are going to challenge FFP.

I just can't see Messi ever leaving Barca tbh. Except maybe when he's much older to some second rate South American side.

If any other money injected team ever manage to sign messi ( part from the likes of psg, Monaco) then that French baffioon and his mafia crew will see it as a act against the FFP

100 mil for Tranny? You're having a giraffe, not a chance a club will pay that now.

Then again, is Garry Cook coming back?

I don't think so mate.

Commercially and football wise, playing in France would be a financial disaster for Ronaldo. They would have to pay a blindingly large amount on wages to make up for lost revenue in image rights to start with, as neither club really have the supporter base to shift a million shirts a year with his name on, and the french league doesnt have the international exposure his sponsors have paid for in his lucrative endorsement deals.

There is absolutely no way on earth he will end up in France, his sponsors wouldnt allow it for a start.

I wouldnt for one.

But in fact city could be one club where Ronaldo would be commercially viable, due to the massive boost of publicity to Abu Dhabi.

Mourinho fell out with him massively during the season just gone, I can't see him wanting him again unless he's said something I've missed (which is entirely possible).

I'm not being funny Mr Fenton but that gibberish makes no sense whatsoever. Not grammatically or logically.
Have a think about why Marwood's still with us then have another bash please - I'm not really arsed about the grammar but the lack of logic was so astounding that I think I must've misinterpreted.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

You can tell what he was saying, why don't you leave him alone or post something constructive instead? Or alternatively go to another thread?

Let's not blame everything on Marwood though, he was just doing his masters bidding, whether having authority to spend, or not.
