There's a little feed on El Confidencial which says:

José Félix Díaz.- Se ha decantado por la propuesta del Manchester City y si nada cambia en las próximas horas, el club inglés y el Málaga cerrarán el acuerdo por el cual el andaluz continuar.....

from this link:

http://www.elconfidencial.com/deportes/ ... id-123345/

It's a twitter feed which is beyond me, but the text quoted above from their journalist says:

From Jose Felix Diaz. - (Isco is signing for Manchester City after rejecting the proposal of Real Madrid). He is inclined toward the proposal of Manchester City and if nothing changes in the next few hours, the English Club and Malaga will close the deal by which the andaluce will....... At this point you have to go to his twitter feed, which I cant.

This.

Our big transfers tend to be done reasonably quickly. The sagas that drag on for weeks end up with us missing out eg Kaka, bloody Alexis Sanchez, Hazard, RVP, De Rossi, Javi Martinez.

If Isco isn't signed by us by the end of the month, Id reckon he's another that will slip away.

Isco has verbal agreement with Man City, Malaga want €35m [AS]

1371642921 extras noticia foton 7 1 Isco has verbal agreement with Man City, Malaga want €35m [AS]After a stunning Under-21 European Championships, Spain Under-21 attacking midfielder Isco will in the coming weeks decide between joining Real Madrid or Manchester City from Malaga.

At the current time, it appears Manchester City might well have the upper hand thanks to new coach Manuel Pellegrini who worked, to such great effect, with Isco at Malaga.

On arrival back in Spain yesterday, Isco said: “I am in no hurry to make a decision. I will take all the time it takes.”

AS report today that Isco had given Manchester City a verbal agreement just a few weeks ago that he would join the Premier League side.

Now, Manchester City are set to intensify their efforts to bring Isco to the Etihad and with Pellegrini installed and the guarantee of regular playing time, it looks like the Malaga playmaker could well be a Premier League star next season.

For their part, Real Madrid have sent Zinedine Zidane to speak with Isco’s father to assure him his son will be a key part of Carlo Ancelotti’s side next season.

Malaga are expected to hold out for a 35 million euro fee for Isco (his buyout clause at the club) but AS suggest he could be signed for 26 million euros.

Moayad Shatat, executive vice president of Malaga, admitted yesterday: “We’re in negotiations with Isco. It’s true that offers have come in for him, but we’re always going to look for the best price for his exit. We haven’t received any transfer offers which include the option for him to continue with Málaga on loan for a season.

Shatat added: “Isco is a very important player, everyone thinks it would be great if he stayed and if the correct offer doesn’t come in, we’re not going to sell. We don’t need to let Isco go cheaply. If it’s not enough, we’re not going to sell him.”

It is from AS.com they also have an article saying Isco will probably join Madrid with Bale in July...

Isco agrees with Manchester City after rejecting the proposal of Real Madrid

It has opted for Manchester City's proposal and if nothing changes in the next few hours, the English club and Malaga close the deal by which the Andalusian continue his career in the hands of Manuel Pellegrini, a decisive factor for the game midfielder becomes part of the Premier League. The deal will close by an amount close to 25 million euros.

Best player of recent European under 21. Reality and notes crack, Isco captures acclaim throughout Europe. The big game is set in its last season, but have been Real Madrid and Manchester City who have shown more interest in his signing. As has been told The Confidential Player preferences and the increased emphasis of the leaders of the English club, with Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain at the head, have been Isco to opt for English team's proposal. Kriis Waddel.

The meeting held three weeks ago at the Bernabeu the player's father, the lawyer, who has the legal affairs of Isco, and Vicente Married to Jose Angel Sanchez led to think of an agreement with Real Madrid, but the interest of the City and movements carried out by Pellegrini, opening the doors of ownership have led him to opt for the offer supported by the Chilean coach.

Isco wanted to park the issue of his future until the end of Europe. His performance in Israel has served to convince the latter that might harbor some doubt about his game. Proclaimed the best player of the tournament, Thiago Second, was the confirmation of the value of the player, which came out two years ago of Valencia in exchange for six million euros and all because Emery did not guarantee minutes in the first team. Fernando Hierro was the architect of his way to Malaga, now receive 25 million euros for his transfer.

The Real Madrid groped his move, but the presence in position of a player like Ozil and Modric, Kaka accounts do despite how complicated is your departure, we closed the doors and cut the potential excitement of a player who came to pass the test by the white team when he was fourteen. Isco looks easier to play for Manchester City and therefore has chosen the option to continue playing next to Manuel Pellegrini.

It may seem like this is taking forever, but I can understand Isco wanting to concentrate on the Euro comp before getting knee deep in contractual negs. Euro has only just finished so there you go.

Real's talk is just smoke for their fans. This deal will have been outlined ages ago and as such, like Pellegini, there is no need to get all furious about it, on the contrary if it is sorted in principal everyone concerned can relax and sort the details at their convenience.

There are other copies of the story appearing in Spain now, but quoting El Confidencial. So whether it's bollox or not it should be all round the world by Friday morning, 'SSN understands' on Saturday!

Then re hashed by Rob Dawson on the back page of the Evening News on Monday. Chinners does much more work putting news items from the world's media on here, but Dawson actually gets paid for it & got a back page headline for re hashing yesterday's news this morning.

You could do Dawson's fucking job without getting out of bed.

I do not see any upside to not getting him, what I am saying he is a stand out player who we need, if the amigos are gonna provide Pelli with the tools to change our style. Without him I suspect we are a pace behind again where we want to get too.

Yeah, but what does Danny Mills think. Maybe we can get him to put some pressure on.

I predict at least 3 more "Isco snubs City" over the next 72 hours prior to any resolution.

Am I not the only one thinking this has all the hallmarks of the Hazard saga last summer?

Too right - very much like the hazard saga but I have more confidence that this one will go our way because of the way our amigo's have been in very early discussions and by the way that the fit with MP looks so good.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.
