S'good.
And as somebody who still hasn't managed to learn how to post a pic in five years, I'm loads impressed by this kind of technical wizardry. Thanks

STILL DOESN'T WORK WITH ANDROID
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'm back with the old blue but nobody will tell me how to get my grey username brightened up. Is is some sort of secret?

I can't quote or reply to posts when using the browser on my android phone. The rest of the site, the fixture list included, seems to work fine, though.

And the app is still working.

Like Johny Crossan said, the usernames in the old theme have become grey and very hard to read. Will be happy if someone changes them back to blue. Thanks.:-)

The contrast level is much higher – darker background and white text so it’s surprising to hear that especially when comparing against the old style.
EDIT::Just read up this...
Some Optician Type Person wrote:People with astigmatism (aproximately 50% of the population) find it harder to read white text on black than black text on white. Part of this has to do with light levels: with a bright display (white background) the iris closes a bit more, decreasing the effect of the "deformed" lens; with a dark display (black background) the iris opens to receive more light and the deformation of the lens creates a much fuzzier focus at the eye.

Solution: Use the other theme. The PlayingAway theme has perfect dark text/white background contrast.

The blink refresh thing only seems to happen in Internet Explorer. It doesn’t happen in Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
Solution: I’d ditch IE for a proper browser (for security reasons too).

Otherwise, really like the theme!

What speed is it transitioning for you? The JavaScript is set to change the image every 3 seconds so it shouldn’t be going to quickly.

I do like the white on dark though, makes it easy to read. .

Solution: I think I’ve found a colour that can work on both the old style and the new style is providing harder than first thought. I’ve had a go at altering them.

halnone wrote:
There need to be something to further differentiate the posts. At a quick glance, all of the text on the page appear to part of the same post.

other than that I actually really like this theme. .

There’s 3 colours used for each post and a gap of about 20pixels between each post as a separator. As you scroll down the page the design has been done in such a way that each post emerges from the background and into view.

Not sure why that would happen. I’ll look into it. My first guess would be the new JavaScript slider is the cause. Could you post fine when it was a Flash Banner?

Solution: In the meantime use the Android app instead as it will give a better experience. Can you download Chrome for your Android? I’ve tested Chrome on iPad and it working.

Works fine now. Cheers mate!

I think the outlook is classy. I don't like to use the App though. Don't get me wrong, it looks and works fine, just not for me.

Hi, I like it.

But I think you should:

Change the tabs font (still hate it)
Loose the 'shirt' icons on the main page (the images are really crappy)
Remove the Forum Rules box (looks really bad and no one follows it)
Change the double quote background fill
Maybe do something about the dropdown and search boxes? as they look a bit out of place
Restore my apostrophe

Other than those monumental balls ups you can be very proud of yourselves.

It's not how long each picture stays on the screen, it's how the change between them occurs. The change is far too 'vivid' and too drastic. It only affects you when you're reading the first post or on the main page, though, to be fair.

Now, though, the colour for normal posters is too similar to that for legends.

I also had a 'blink' in Firefox (I think I use Firefox 9), but didn't notice it after the first hour or so, so I guess it was a trick of the mind due to the new layout on my part.

Looks great MRM!
It usually takes quite a while for me to get used to and to like something new but I like this new theme already.

thanks for keeping the old themes too! I constantly use the 'playing away' theme (at work) & I liked the MaineRoadBlu too so I guess I'll use that occasionally too.

One problem in this new theme for me though is the share-tool as it blocks some of the functions on this site.. but that might just be down to my resolution settings.

MRM, is there any chance we can have the option of closing the 'Share' tool? I like the look of the new site but because I am using a note pad the share facility takes up a greater part of my viewing area.

And, good work mate. Wish I knew how to do shit like that.
