That brought a smile to my face.

Can you imagine trying to convince a ref that a passive Buddhist just kicked you?
Or the concern of the political far right on reading a report that a muslim fundamentalist referee had just blown up and it had kicked off?
Or the sight of 1,000 away Jehova's fans, banging on the home fans' gates to convince them they were supporting the wrong team.
Chants anyone?

There's no academies. There is a draft into MLS. Kids go to college to play soccer.
Everyone likes football or baseball or basketball more so the US soccer players suck.

All MLS teams wear Adidas.

Yes there is a slight lack of vision in Saul's statement I would suspect.

Saul is about 5 years behind on how "soccer" in the states work. The one thing I am disappointed about with New York FC is the hiring of Claudio Reyna. Reyna has been the head of youth development for USSF for the last 3 years. He has made a lot of positive changes to youth development in this country.

So, why are you disappointed with his hiring?
