Napoli’s official radio station has reported that a £49.3m deal for Edinson Cavani has been reached with Chelsea.
Radio Marte, who are the official radio station of Napoli football club, made the statement late on Monday evening.
“We have received news in the office from a very reliable source that Napoli have sealed a deal with Chelsea for Cavani’s sale.
“Rafa Benitez also gave the all-clear, but before making the move official Napoli want to secure the striker who will replace Il Matador.
“Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club will pick up around €58m, a slight discount on the buy-out clause, which is the same situation as Ezequiel Lavezzi to PSG last year.
“The player will earn €8.5m per season plus image rights.”
It would appear that Chelsea have beaten Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain to the Uruguay’s signature.
Cavani was top scorer in Serie A this season with 29 goals.

There are reports Juventus are closing on a €12m (£10m) deal for Carlos Tevez during crunch negotiations with Manchester City today. Directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici flew in to Manchester today for crucial talks with the Eastlands side. According to Sky Sport Italia, Juve have offered €10m (approximately £8.5m) and Manchester City are still holding out for €15m (£12.7m). However, they are whittling down the difference and could eventually reach an agreement for a transfer worth €12m (£10m). The Bianconeri stepped up after Milan pulled out of negotiations, as Adriano Galliani warned they cannot sign any other strikers until they have sold Robinho.

He is better option than Suarez. We already have good relations with Real Madrid, so it wont be so difficult to pull it off.
He is just 25 and a better option.

I agree about Tello. I saw him a few times last season and was impressed. Not made a massive impression yet so not silly money and I thought his contract was also nearly up.
