Even after Golf-gate i'm sad to see him go, there are very few players with his attributes and approach to the game. That said i don't think it really surprises many that he wouldn't extend his contract and better to get something back, controlling which club/country he moves too would be important - thats if its true of course!

When he came back he arguably turned our run in into a title winning one, but like Aguero last season he didn't really deliver. Yes he had the commitment in a game sense, but life has changed & with the new manager, no doubt a new playing style maybe it wasn't clear how he fitted into it & we'd be better off selling now rather than extending a contact for a player who would be taking the wages, whilst occupying the bench - we almost certainly have another striker in mind as two isn't nearly enough

Gonna be really really hard to replace what Tevez brings to the team. PArt of me thinks 'oh well, we must have something big in the pipeline' (not in a Gus Poyet kind of way). Suarez I doubt. I just can't see the owner being comfortable with the publicity he brings and he's said he wants to get away from the British media, so we're not an ideal fit.

If we have agreed to or signed a dipper it might be Reina as back up for JH perhaps? If it is suarez then it's a player who scored 33 goals in 44 games last season - in a pretty shite team. In his last season with Ajax he scored 49 in 48 games and that's what he'll do with good players around him to draw defences. If we do go mad and get him we might have to stick a muzzle on him but we'll see goals.
