No point having a guy running his bollocks off in the centre circle if silva, navas et al are trying to create chances for goal scorers.

That, plus Munich-gate, plus he is refusing to sign a contract means, in my opinion, it's a thank you and goodbye.

As long as we get someone in. Which I believe we will.

It appears this is happening. It suggests we have something lined up on the striker front.
Shame really, but never mind.

I was rather enjoying the transfer window til last weekend.....I've got faith that the spafia have something DECENT lined up.

As, I think miserable Ted said....even without any new additions we should have the best squad in the country if the Count can get them playing properly...but I'd like some more new talented blood. Khaldoon's excitement in that interview suggested that there may be something pretty amazing. It's been good so far, one genuine superstar now needed though if we let Carlos go.

I still reckon somethings gonna happen with Tranny, or another huge signing out of the blue

Shifting Tevez off the wage bill seems unnecessary to move the club forwards, unless something really significant s about to happen

Edit to say, hope its not rooney, but the filter wouldnt let me post gr@nny shagger

We can only second guess who they have lined up to replace Carlos. Mario Gomez would be an option and would cost what we are selling Carlos for. Is Gudietti finally going to get a chance? I am wondering if Pellers sees Agueroooo and Edin as his first choice strikers. Personally I would use the dough and put it towards Bale and go with what we have plus Gomez.

Its going to be very hard to replace him full stop never mind trying to do it without spending god knows how much. They are saying its a deal worth 10m, bloody hell we will have to spend close to 50m to get the same level of ability. Its true hes not getting any younger and in 1 more season he walks for free, over all it does make financial sence but as a fan its harder to take.

Yes but we'd have to spend 50 mill anyway as he is nearly out of contract. Means spending a net 40 mill now rather than 50 mill next year...

Off the top of my head:

KJH, Jovetic, Gomez, Suarez, Benzema, Higuain, Cardozo.

Names to add:
- Sanchez (must surely be available now)?
- Cassano ( or have Parma already signed him?)
- lewandowski

Worth considering that if the thought is to play 1 up top then conceivably we could go with having 2 first team strikers rotating with guidetti and Lopez as backup/emergency options ( we'd need a proper WC left winger then though)

Shafted by Italians again, would rather see him run his contract down, he is worth more on the pitch to us than that paltry sum.

the best striker I have seen at city...

spot on the italians are masters of takin the piss out of english clubs regarding transfers. we should have played hardball with them for s few more million just like they do.
the club must have someone lined up my take on it is, we let madrid have isco we get tranny although hes a twat hes the 2nd best player in the world and would pretty much win us the league with the squad we have.

I've said it million times before, majority of supporters seem to have completely forgotten the golfing vacation but I doubt likes of Khaldoon and owners will have. They didn't become beyond filthy risk by putting their trust on people who aren't loyal.

Suarez will be average again next season. He had that peak season last season and will revert back to his above average/pretty good form. Hope we aren't banking on him to be Tevez' replacement. Perhaps we shouldn't be looking for replacement at all but to change our playing style and find suitable players on it to provide enough goals and fighting spirit?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

We must have something lined up! I'll be gutted if we've let him go for 10m and nobody comes in. Then again, we did it with Ballotelli in January. Thing I struggle with is who could realistically replace him?

For a club where money is no object, it makes no sense to me.

Indeed, Silva to play the ball to the striker with the better chance of scoring, rather than only Tevez or Sergio

No I absolutely understand that part, but for purely as a fan it cant see at this moment in time where the replacement will be coming from. If one thing stands out from last season its the fact we really need someone of the same mentality as tevez.

The only idiot is you.

Look at the article above, the deal probably saved us 27 million. And many top clubs would easily take Dzeko off our hands if they had the chance. "the donkey" was also our leading scorer in the league last year

not sure the article is accurate as his contract is pre-2010 so his wages would be "forgiven" in any FFP calculation, while his replacement's won't be?
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
