Funny one is old Kolarov, absolutely love him as a bloke but can't stand him on a football pitch.

Question is, what LB's are available as a replacement???

Top LB's in football are at a real premium and can't think of any who would improve us really. Tough one this.

I know what you mean. But not a great high to have cover for both your fullbacks rumoured to be leaving!

I can see Pelli is moving towards a new style, which I guess will scare the shit out of most City fans until the team gets it, Micah, AK and even Hart will be under scrutiny, Lescott lost, Milner, working hard Head down no way with this Guy in the same way Pep is advising Neur to sort his feet out, for short passes, Sweeper Keeper, Players with a lack of a pass, poor control will be gone trust me, the ball will be moved about so fast with short passes into feet. Get ready for Massive amounts of possesion. Backwards sideways anything goes except turning over the ball. Yaya will be the 1st person told to stop the running with the ball. Interesting first couple of months for the fans.

Yes he will want to keep the ball, but we already play possession football. It's nothing new for any of the players or the fans. The possession stats for our defenders are excellent & if he organises the mids to take the ball from them, they will be even better.

The big difference will be in attacking attitude & actually Pellegrini doesn't mind players crossing the ball, so we are more likely to take chances in the final 3rd rather than just passing sideways.

It takes players to do it Ted, particularly in Europe when you are away from home, some of our squad do not have it, he will change a lot of things we do, let it run we will chat after the season starts.

When we won the title were better in possession than Malaga. This is a fact.

Yeah, remind yourself Ted we were ripped apart by Dortmund, and the Scottish ref cheated Malaga out of the Semi Fact, lets see the comments on here when it Kicks off. Malaga were better on the ball than us and at times in Europe did not have a forward on the pitch.

I have not said anything about Europe. City were dog shit in Europe & Malaga were miles better than us.

I was specifically replying to the part about possession football. It will not be a revolution for Pellegrini to ask City players to pass the ball around because we already do. There are 3 Prem teams who can do it, & during our title winning season, us Arsenal & Swansea, had better possession stats than Malaga & every other Spanish team except Real Madrid & Barca.

This is a fact, not a negotiable point.

In Europe we can't attack defend or do anything right with or without the ball.

Last season we were below par in every aspect of football imo, so I've no idea how we compared in the league, but we proved the season before that we can pass & move, & we were in Europe's top 10 for possession, so our players know how to keep possession of a football.

I hope the Count can take us even further down that road & get us up closer to Barca in that respect but keeping the ball in the Premier league is a lot more difficult than keeping it in Spain.

It looks like our rag rivals are close to bring Baines in. Everton have accepted their bid.

what's weird is that david moyes is still in charge of everton until Monday, which means his employer turned down his future employer's bid.

Maybe you are right - I have watched him play a few times for Barca and he was a better than mediocre on more than one occasion, nippy, could beat players inside or outside and put in a good cross. I didn't see him play in the U21 so I accept your analysis but if it was typical why would Barca be trying to get him to sign a new contract? If we want a left winger I think he would be an option;he is not the answer to our striker shortage!

I haven't followed him much but I've heard many many positive things about him. He is a young CB much like Varane and Nasty. Even Barca are chasing him according to some newspapers.

i don't know. i'm not a scout, but what i've seen of him has left me unimpressed. he's scored some goals for his club b/c he often comes on late when defenders are tiring and he is very direct. i think sinclair could do the same job, frankly.
