You take them out and you're directly taking part of that Ferguson 'we will win' attitude out of the team too. United would not be the same without Rooney. He invariably scores big goals for them and does often step it up when it matters. Neville was basically Ferguson's mouth piece on the pitch. Not the best, no, but a leader? Yep.
You think the players respected Neville? Hahahaha!!! Even their own fuckin fans didnt respect him, as was shown again Boro I believe when a section of their fans argued with him after the final whistle. It was common knowledge that Keane hated the Neville brothers.
Gary Neville was no leader!
Rooney and Keane (especially) I agree with.
Kea** hates everybody.
If you can't see that he was a big part of the whole Utd players' ethos then nothing I can say will make any difference. But he was the bloke they used as a spokesman, so that is a bit strange, if as you say, they had no respect for him.
I can't be arsed arguing about it anyhow, I was talking about Rooney & he is key to Utd & how they operate imo. They have lost most of those characters from the squad already.
