one realization from the Confederations Cup is that Cavani looks an awful lot like the recently-departed American serial killer Richard Ramirez.

He's only 25 while Barry is 32. Of course, if Pellegrini plays Yaya and Fernandinho in the two deep midfield roles then never mind. But if he's looking for a legit DFM (which Yaya and Fernandinho both arent) Luis Gustavo might be worth a look in...

Or I could just be crazy.

A resounding Yes from me. Wouldn't mind a bit of steel in our midfield & he'd deliver it in abundance, but doubt Bayern would let him go.

I guess I'm not the first one to point this out, but have you not thought about the similarities between Cavani and this closet-gay villain?

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I would guess it had something to do with him liking man-parts a lot.

It was lunch and dinner to me, dinner was always at lunch and dinner was always tea later.

They were always wrong.

I lived on the posh side of Romily (The peasants in the council estate lived over the fence where we used to throw apples from my dads tree at them) and we still called it breakfast dinner and tea.

The peasants were just happy to eat at any time as I recall.

well i guess this is a relief:

Fluminense have played down talk linking Brazil striker Fred with a possible move to Manchester City.

Reports have suggested City are weighing up a move for Fred as they look to add to their attacking options for next season.

City are in the markert for a new striker having sold Carlos Tevez to Juventus and Fred is one of several names to be linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium.

The 29-year-old impressed in the Confederations Cup, scoring twice in Sunday's 3-0 final win over Spain and finishing the tournament with five goals.

When asked about the City rumour Fluminense's director of football Rodrigo Caetano told ESPN Brazil: "Fred is under contract with Fluminense, he is very happy at the club and we are very satisfied with him."

Fred admits it would have to be a "great offer" for him to leave Fluminense after joining the club in 2009 from Lyon.

"I am doing great at Fluminense and I will only leave the club if there is a really great offer," noted Fred.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
