If we look at both of them combined Fred is ok, otherwise he doesn't seem to be too big a deal, a sub below dzeko level

Yes of course he has. And I had £50 on that no mark woman to beat Serena Williams on Monday too.
The Twitter "itk" has replaced the bullshitter in the pub who spouts utter crap, then disappears when it doesn't happen.
I seem to recall the same "itks" guaranteeing Hazard, RVP & Isco in the past year alone.

I think Fred would be average in the prem. Terrible signing IMO

If you look at his recent performances since he went back to Brazil however, he has probably been one of the best finishers in the world. In fact I don't think I have seen anyone else sniff out chances , have such a great first touch, get on the end of stuff & finish so sweetly including with headers, any better than him. It's actually verging on uncanny at times & some of the volleys etc he's put in have been awesome. He's also just done it at international level, nearly every finish has been quality.
He seems to be at home in Brazil though.

Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo will join Manchester City in a £24 million deal, according to reports in Spain. Madrid-based sports radio station Marca – affiliated to the newspaper – reported that the Spain international would move to Eastlands for the suspiciously high fee of 28 million euros (£24m). If the move does transpire, Negredo would join former team-mate Jesus Navas at Eastlands after he joined for £15m. The 27-year-old former Almeria, Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano forward has made no secret of his desire to leave Andalusia. He has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur previously tipped as a destination. Discounting the reported fee, City seems like an unusual destination given his reputation as a bustling poacher - Edin Dzeko would presumably leave the Premier League runners-up, and he is widely regarded as a superior target man. Negredo has scored 70 goals in 139 Liga appearances for Sevilla and six in 14 for Spain. Sevilla have sold Navas, Luis Alberto and Antonio Luna this summer as they rebuild following an indifferent season. So far Chelsea's Marko Marin has arrived on loan while wingers Jairo and Vitolo have joined from Racing Santander and Las Palmas, with Romania striker Raul Rusescu also signed from Steaua Bucharest.
