Clearly engineer is planning to use proper centerforward and have another striker playing off him and covering lot of ground. CF will be competition between Dzeko and Negredo and Guidetti will provide cover for Aguero in that other spot.
So youre thinking:
Dzeko
Silva Aguero Navas
Yaya Fernandinho
Back 5
????
No
I'm thinking
-------------------Dzeko----
----------Aguero
--Silva------------------Navas--
------YaYa----Fernandinho----
Back 5.
sidSmith wrote:Saul. No offence, but you've mentioned a back 5 a few times and it confuses me. Either you want us to play with 12 players or you're including the goalkeeper in this back 5, which nobody does, ever
sidSmith wrote:Alioune DVToure wrote:I completely disagree with that. If someone says 'the back five all played out of their skin,' I understand that to mean the defence and the goalkeeper, no problem.
Moreover, he was probably just saving time and energy, given that our back line picks itself and Joe Hart is the uncontested number one.
Fair enough, but this is a different context to how I was reading it. Having said that, he did accidentally list 12 players in one post, so I think the concept occasionally confuses him.

Not official yet but this looks to be a good signing...their midfield is getting pretty good.
And maybe De Rossi for 10m euros...

Mate it was official this morning.
It has been reported that Del Nido held talks with City chief-executive Ferran Soriano on Wednesday but today he stressed he would not negotiate a cut-price deal with any club and declared that, for now, Negredo was still a Sevilla player.
He said: "Sevilla have an asking price for Negredo and if they aren't met, he will play for Sevilla next season. Tomorrow he will sleep in Seville and then he will start training with the team again.
"There have been no offers from English football, not from City, not from Tottenham."
Speaking to reporters at a promotional event, Del Nido also declared that the Argentine centre-back Nico Pareja would join the club on loan from Spartak Moscow next season, with Sevilla retaining the option to buy him when the loan deal expires.
"I've spoken to him and we still need to iron out some details with Spartak, but if there are no complications, Nico Pareja will travel to Seville tomorrow (Friday)," he said.
"The player has made a huge effort to come to Sevilla by renouncing part of his contract, and I am as excited about signing him as I am about any of the big names in football."
