It seems that the Count is very much attack minded, so that is probably why there is so little evidence goals on the break; because they are already in the oppo's half. But imo the squad we are building could be awesome at it.
In the Chaps Lg imo, we either have to keep the ball like Barca, or we have to have a Barry type player behind Fernandinho.
Yes I did think Barry as in practice he is quite good at breaking up or nicking the ball back, Milner less so.
Anyway if you run with my lil scenario... basically Yaya forward and Ferdi and say Gaz Baz breaking up, then that leaves Silva in a more fluid role but with instructions to help the other mids defend. lets say like a 4-2-1-2-1. Also I dont think that Navas has to be used on the wing, he could have a more centered start point no problem.
Personally if I were an oppo and City had both Navas and Yaya loitering about high up with Dzeko or Aguero ready to pounce, I'd be very worried about Yaya or Navas receiving the ball, particularly from deeper passes from City's half.
For anyone not quite getting this, the reason for Yaya and Navas is they are the two best players at directly running at players AND keeping the ball while doing it - in fact they are two of the best in the world at it.. yet in different ways as well. (now if they could both switch sides as well pfff fuck me that would be something ).
