He's such a moaner. Perhaps if he had spent the whole of last season working with what we had rather than moaning about not having RVP we would have done better. Think it was Doug who said that he focused far too much on what we didn't have rather than what we did.

Great story. Hadn't heard that one from you.

Pure fluke TBF, we stayed in the Hilton Dortmund, he walked in from a visit to the Ground with Platt, about 2.30/3pm, sat down where we were tucked away with 3 kids, he was about to do 1 when we engaged him he sat down with his coffee for 5/10 mins he was dragged away by some suits who had lost him, loads of blues around mate watched from the back of the bar. Ballo was messing about with the kids hiding in some plants which lead to Mancini leaving with him in good spirits shaking his head.

I never liked how he treated players. City run over a 5 1 he talks about the goal that we have received, it's always the players fault that we lost and I never heard him say he was satisfied with efforts of the team on some enthusiastic way like hes part of them.Okay to criticize the players as a team or even a private individual names but the amount of public names was to much and is always complaining that there are not enough good transfer although he spent a billion on players. Then he says, I have brought the club the title after 44 years. Congratulations to Bob and thank you for that but you Bob have at that year the best team , most money in the last 44 years of any manager at City. They were the best team in the league and Bob won in the last seconds not by tactics but individuals pull out maybe biggest win witch could be a crushing blow on City fans to lost title in last game at home to team fighting to stay up and to lose it from rags.So yes hes going in City history like a man who won it after 44 years but hes just one of those who can't see flaws of there own. I hope Pelle can make this in to team , one unit not bunch of individuals.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Cheers Bobby, you were a star.

One thing I don't get is how quite a few Blues now hold Sorri and Tinkerbell in such regard. Their first season in charge led to no silverware at all yet Mancini, who at least won us trophies, is cast as some sort of monster.

Nothing stranger than folk.

Noone casts Mancini as some sort of monster you freak but he deserves the bad to be highlighted as well as the good.

Soriano and Trixi come to the table with past success so fuck knows what planet you are on - their first season was bedding in and letting Mancini do the trophy winning, which he is paid to do...and didnt deliver.

I was merely pointing out that he has a huge ego, which probably contributed to his sacking. I will always appreciate what he did and the trophies he brought but just because he brought the league title after 44 years doesn't mean he could do whatever he wants.

You pick out a thread that hasn't been posted in since December and post something casting shadows on his character at least have the bollox to stand by your convictions and not wimp off and say your weren't disrespecting the guy ffs, course he has a huge ego. And quoting from yahoo news might as well be cheshire today!

Oh so I should create a 400th Mancini thread? No. I'd prefer to post in a thread that already exists.

I wasn't disrespecting the guy. Saying he has a big ego isn't disrespecting him. It is a critique, to be sure, though.

There's one born every minute. Didn't think you'd try to be so defensive though mate with your 'Licker' claims.

My stance on Mancini is that I didn't want him, didn't like him, never could understand him. He even stopped a visit to Carrington of a sick friend. Couldn't stand the bloke to be fair.

What I do see though, is what he did in his short time here and one that I am very thankful for.

Call me a 'Licker' all you want mate but I'd rather lick the balls of the bloke who won us the league and cup, ripped the banner down and give the Rags there biggest spanking in years, plus more, than 2 relatively unknowns in terms of the Premier League. At least Mancini had some balls, the new suits just hide behind the 'coach' patting their fannies.

I saw Soriano in Town today. If you ever feel the need to give him a clump, he's only likkle.

Not a chance pal. I'm a long term fan who understands the fickleness of our support. Sorri and Tinkerbell may well be my next City hero's, it's no good not giving them the chance to shine.

Same time again, some will suck their cocks before they've even proved, I'll just wait until they've actually done it ;-)

Yes, this is about where I stand on the subject. Throw in the fact that they have manoeuvred the most successful manager we have had in my lifetime by a huge margin out the door and I think the best way to put it is that I believe they have got some work to do to prove themselves.

The Thompson Twins may not agree with me, as you don't seem to, but they have so far achieved absolutely nothing at all at City. If, two or three years down the line, we still haven't won anything, the owner will be quite justified in asking said twins where the fuck his trophies are, then providing them with their P45s.

Good post Tokyo, however, it could be argued (unfairly or otherwise) that Tricky and Sorry have already just had twelve months without winning anything.

On that basis, it's not guaranteed that they might get another two or three years to 'prove' themselves depending, particularly, on how Chelsea, The Scum, Arsenal, Spurs and even Liverpuddle shape up in the meantime.

There could be a veritable Sword of Damocles hanging over their heads.......
