If we were after Tranny in any sort of serious fashion, why not go after Gareth Bale instead?

Look at this shit...

City enter Ronaldo race. Moneybags Manchester City have decided to break the bank to lure Cristiano Ronaldo to Eastlands this summer - and frustrate United's attempts to sign their former star in the process, according to the Daily Star. United have been linked to the Portuguese all summer but City are set to make a late move, armed with a fistful of petro-dollars. The report claims City could beat any financial offer United put to him - and that could mean more than £300,000-a-week for the Real Madrid ace.

Paper Round's view: Money talks in modern-day football but surely Ronaldo, who remains respectful of the Old Trafford club, would draw the line at joining United's bitter enemies.
- - -
United and City to do battle for Jovetic. The Manchester clubs will also go head-to-head to secure the services of Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic, according to reports in the Daily Mirror and The Sun. Both papers have the same headline - Buy Jove! - although they don't agree on the Montenegrin's buy-out clause - £27 million in The Sun and £28m in the Mirror. United are willing to match City’s £120,000-a-week offer and "think their stature gives them the edge", according to The Sun.

Paper Round's view: Jovetic would be a decent acquisition for both clubs, but any deal with United must surely wait until after Rooney's future is determined. That may give City the edge.
- - -
Chelsea to offload Torres or Ba when they capture Rooney. David Moyes and Wayne Rooney are getting on like a house on fire, according to stories carried by The Sun and the Daily Mirror, but The Independent reports that Chelsea are nevertheless confident of landing the England striker before the start of the season. And if they do, the report claims either Fernando Torres or Demba Ba will be offloaded to accommodate Rooney.

Paper Round's view: Despite the public declarations from Moyes, there is still no guarantee Rooney, who is yet to publically state his loyalty to United, will stay put this summer.
- - -
Gunners want double deal. Arsenal remain determined on securing a pair of new strikers, with Arsene Wenger still chasing Luis Suarez, Rooney and Gonzalo Higuain, according to the Daily Star. Wenger has been encouraged by his players' response to the club's attempts to bring in Suarez and Rooney, the report claims.

Paper Round's view: There has been a lot of talk so far this summer about this trio but there are still no signatures on the dotted line. Higuain and Suarez remain more likely captures than Rooney.
- - -
Arsenal keen on Fabregas return. The Daily Mail claims that Arsenal are manoeuvring into a position to bring £25m Cesc Fabregas back to the Emirates this summer. The paper says the Spain midfielder is pondering his future following a frustrating season at Barcelona that saw him overlooked in big games.

Paper Round's view: A plausible story considering the terms of his deal with Barca which stated that Arsenal would have first refusal on Fabregas should he ever leave the Camp Nou. Gunners fans would welcome him back with open arms.
- - -
Chelsea close on De Rossi. New Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is closing in on Daniele De Rossi after Roma completed the signing of PSV Eindhoven's Kevin Strootman, the Daily Mirror reports. Strootman would fill the De Rossi's boots in Rome, freeing up the Italy midfielder to move to Stamford Bridge. The paper adds that the Italian club want teenage Brazilian full-back Wallace on loan as part of the £11m deal for De Rossi.

Paper Round's view: De Rossi, 29, is made for the Premier League, even if Paper Round would have liked to have seen him here a couple of years ago. Still, he still has plenty to offer Mourinho's 'new' Chelsea, and the pieces of the jigsaw seem to fit in.

Thiago Alcantara going Bayern
It says here

that'd be a shame
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Using the thread you're posting in as a source - a new mcf.net transfer speculation low?

Neur
RB Dante Martinez Lahm
Schweinsteiger Thiago
Muller Gotze Ribery
Mandzukic

Wonder what will happen when Badstuber returns from injury.
