That could still fall inline with them off-loading him this summer but they'd look like a load of lying cunts if he's off to somewhere else in the short-term, especially with an injury that has reportedly put him out for the start of the season?

I wonder though, would a club like Arsenal be in for him?

Interesting thoughts, also if it's not a lie, they then have the problem of potentially struggling to offload him this month, giving little time to get a replacement in

What, just because he's injured?

Why not, it's as good'a reason than any other.

I'm still not convinced they have the money. There's plenty of media stories and sound bites from Wenger but it stinks of red herring to me.

£250-300 thousand-a-week at Arsenal? Not a chance. Actually, this whole thing is getting interesting as far as the rags are concerned. Alcantara looks like he's off to B Munich, the Wooney affair, moyes getting tetchy in today's press-conference. Things are somewhat amiss over at the theatre of plastic fans.

I should probably clarify, I mean't there were news stories and soundbites from Wenger about Arsenal having a few quid to throw at players this summer but I don't believe it. Smacks of them trying to appease the fans and flog a few (massively overpriced) season tickets.

The Higuin saga is the latest in a long line of "look fans were trying to spend" moments that Arsenal produce to appease thick fans.

Rooney and Suarez will be the same. Arsenal love to say they've bid. Unfortunately if you bid low on purpose everytime people will wise up to your lies.

Well I assume Gooners will one day. We all have for years.

It could be a case of their papertiger tactics, making bids for Suarez and Rooney who they never have hope of landing just to keep the supporters thinking they are trying to compete.

Totally agree. And it seems Wenger is about to sign a new contract (apparently he gets paid for making profits rather than winning trophies) so any pay-rise will take care of Arsenal's summer transfer kitty, I'd imagine.

Sky sources understand Wayne Rooney is unhappy at Manchester United and is looking to leave.
Sources close to Rooney claim the 27-year-old England international striker is "angry and confused" about his treatment by the club.
Reporter Kaveh Solhekol told Sky Sports News: "Rooney believes he is at the peak of his career and has no intention of becoming a squad rotation player or by playing second fiddle to anyone at Old Trafford.
"He believes he has nothing left to prove after nine successful seasons - yet that is what is being suggested by reports in the media which have interpreted the club's statement as meaning he's currently on trial for the coming season.
"Since he's returned from the pre-season tour due to injury, Rooney has been in touch with the club and spoken to David Moyes on the phone - he is angry and confused at the way he's been treated."
Rooney has been linked with a transfer to both Arsenal and Chelsea in recent weeks and it is understood he is open to the idea of moving to London from the North West.
He also expects to be fit for the start of the new season despite flying home from Bangkok last week due to a hamstring problem.
Rooney has two years left on his current contract at Old Trafford but new chief executive Ed Woodward revealed at the weekend that an extension is not on United's agenda.
Woodward said: "No contract renewals are being discussed. I am not sitting down with any player on an extension and there is no trigger date in the diary.
"Would we be afraid to run a contract down? Of course not."
United manager David Moyes still sees Rooney as a key member of his squad, but he said at the weekend: "Overall, my thought on Wayne is, if for any reasons we had an injury to Robin van Persie, we'll need him.
"Wayne can play up on his own, he can play dropped in. It's going to be a time to see how I work with Wayne.
"Manchester United isn't about Wayne Rooney. Manchester United is about the team - the club.
"I won't allow Wayne Rooney to become more important than the football club and the football team, because that's the heart of it."

If that really is Wooney's reaction, then the people advising him are as thick as he is. This is exactly what the rags want. They want a fee, him off the payroll and they want him to put this in motion himself. If he really is pissed-off then my advice would be to stay there next season, that'll teach them a lesson.

I think if he signed for Arsenal it would be a good deal for all parties involved. Rags get rid of a player who wants out, Arsenal get someone who's better than what they have and it would be a fresh start for him. Although with Wenger's policy of not signing anyone over 14 I doubt it will happen.

I don't want him here but want him to leave Rags beacuse it definitely weakens them.

That thick fucler has been living in a state of perpetual confusion since his mum squeezed him out.

If he leaves, who fills his spot for the scum?

kagawa, the mexican, or welbeck?
will they actually sign a big name striker (who is even left out there)?
Or will they just rely on the rapist? (would be fantastic if he gets injured in the first game of the season this year)

getting really bored reading about the 'granny lover' in the press !!
if it's gonna help his England form, then go to a club where he can play centre forward, and there are plenty of GILF's nearby !!
