In fact, you're wasting your time with any gobshite that tells you a confirmed condition isn't real.

They are arguing against fact. That can be exhausting.

Being sad shouldn't be classed as a medical condition though.

Fucking naughty kids have a "confirmed condition" these days. In reality they just need a slap.

I never said being sad was a medical condition.

Just like being anxious isn't a medical condition. However, suffering from anxiety attacks is a medical condition - one which I know all about because someone close to me suffers from them.

Depression is not sadness. I'm amazed that you think it is. People use the term when they're sad or upset, but they also use the term "starving" when they are merely hungry.... or "dying" when they are merely hungover. But I'm pretty sure you knew that? Tell me you knew that much at least??

Anyway, actual depression is caused by a chemical imbalance and thankfully there are drugs available that can help get that balance back.

It's the equivalent of saying there is no such thing as mental illness. It's actually a bit disturbing to think people think it isn't real.

Go on..........tell us factually how depression is NOT a medical condition/illness and I will show my arse in Burtons shop window next peak shopping hour.

Don't try to be sensationalist about such a subject. It just makes you look like a fuckwit mate :o(

I believe that depression is a serious illness and anyone who disagrees is either a wind up merchant, blinkered, or just a nob...

...however...I believe that ADHD and these behavioural tags they give kids these days are a load of Shiite..so that probably puts me into the nob bracket.

Wouldn't force my opinions on anyone else though, especially if they're affected first hand. So...moral is....if you can't say something nice....fuck off

There's a difference between something being a load of shite or something being over diagnosed.

Again I've seen the sever end of ADHD and its very much real.

Interesting read, hadn't realised Frank was such a trend setter.

No matter how powerful the body its only as string as the mind at the time i suppose.
