I wonder if Arsenal will prepare be about to challenge Utd's soon to be prepared bid for Fabregas, who said a short while ago that he is staying at Barca ?

What’s missing however is subtly and intelligence in front of goal, and despite his scoring record a hidden feature of his game is the amount of missed chances the player encounters.

This past season Negredo missed more clear cut chances than any other player in the top five leagues across Europe. It’s not as though he’s shot shy either, as only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi took more shots this past season – both of them ended up with 34 and 46 goals respectively however, compared to Negredo’s 25.

Consistency too has been hard to come by, and one of the most glaring things about Negredo’s game is the sway in appearance of the player.

One week he can look like he’s up there with the elite predators in front of goal, bully a defence and bag a brace. Then the next few weeks he’ll go through a drought, and stumble through games clumsily and cautiously with no first touch or control in his play.

The whole article sounds exactly like it's Dzeko their talking about.

And the part in different colour pretty much guarantees he will become a boo boy for some. Like Dzeko.

Perhaps they will consider preparing to activate it & the rags will 'reluctantly' pull out of preparing their bid, but prepare to bid for Ronaldo instead.

Tougher than Dzeko.

Hopefully that will rub off. If Dzeko grew some balls, he'd be unstoppable.

If that happens I feel very sorry for Higuain.

If it happens it's a big middle finger to Arsenal..

.. it's like hey Arsenal, so you want to put pressure on us to sell you Higuain by bidding for Suarez, well how about we swap your target plus a few mill for the player we were after anyway and you get nothing mr wenger.

I like the way they do business.

Doubt Higuain will even entertain Liverpool as an option however...

You never know, he might have done history at school.

Arsenal won't allow themselves to be linked with Fabregas because he's a player they have a good chance of signing if they actually had any money for players.

SSN has Sevilla president saying we are still far away from their valuation of Negredo and that Atleti were closer when they were in.

Found this. The figures could be bogus but the crux of the article could be telling.

The last line touches on Negredo too.

The Premier League runners-up concluded talks over a deal to bring the Montenegro international to England on Monday, with the forward undergoing medical tests in Florence

EXCLUSIVE
By Paul Clennam

Manchester City have agreed a €27 million plus add-ons deal with Fiorentina for attacker Stevan Jovetic.

The 23-year-old's agent, Fali Ramadani, is set to travel to Manchester to meet with City sporting director Txiki Begiristain in the next 24 hours, with club officials confident of completing the move following those talks.

City have agreed to a package that meets Fiorentina's €30m (£26m) asking price, with €27m (£23.3m) set to be paid up front and a further €3m (£2.6m) to be paid in performance-related bonuses.

Jovetic visited the Fanfani Medical Centre in Florence for tests on Monday, accompanied by the Serie A side's doctor.

City, who have sent a large group of staff to South Africa as part of their pre-season tour, also conducted similar assessments on Jesus Navas in Seville before his €21m move to the Etihad Stadium in June.

Ramadani met with Begiristain at Mottram Hall last week to discuss terms, with City set to pay Jovetic an £80,000-a-week salary package on arrival in Manchester.

The clubs have maintained a good relationship harboured following Stefan Savic's move from Manchester to Fiorentina last summer.

City are set for disappointment with regards to Alvaro Negredo, however, whom they had hoped to secure in a double swoop alongisde Jovetic. The Sevilla attacker is rated as having a "one per cent" chance of joining Manuel Pellegrini's side by the Spanish club's president, Jose Maria del Nido.

£25 mil on the BBC, if Barca do want to sell then all the Arse need to do is match the scums bid.

I could imagine them seriously considering it too, even the gooners are starting to get restless getting Fab back would appease them for another 7 years
