Silly season bollox, I hope the rags dig their heels in and keep him as unhappy as possible and it all implodes after 31/08

Sign him for 19 million and have him play with EDS? That would really piss the rags off.

The Wayne Rooney saga resembles 3 fat people arguing over a takeaway menu... Undignified and ultimately of no interest to anyone.

The above was tweeted by Martin Samuel about 15 minutes ago.

Does that make Martin Samuel one of the fat people as it seems to be interesting enough for him to tweet about it?

Haha. Neither is Moyes, so I'm at a loss.

What's more, fat people don't argue over takeaway menus. They put it where they can all see it so they can get the order in sooner.

This really does seem as if Utd are trying to force Rooney to hand in an official transfer request, so perhaps they know he has been tapped up & is going to inevitably end up at a particular club where he has already agreed a deal, irrespective of any other bidders ?

They should know, because they operate exactly that way, playing call my bluff with the club, as they did recently with Van Persie.

Unless they sign Suarez or Ibra, I think Rooney is irreplaceable for Utd.

Whoever he signs for in this country will have a much better chance of winning trophies, but the rags could really fuck this up in a big way, even if he stays, if they are not careful. He will cause them no end of problems, playing for or against them if they get this wrong.

If he stays it'll be the best thing that's happened to that shower of shite since the Luftwaffe missed the docks. Unhappy camper unsettling the squad, destabilising the new manager, taking up 3 good players wages, and only a small return when he gets sold on in the summer. I desperately hope he stays there.

As for the fat people and the takeaway menu analogy, if they're ordering a curry I'd be interested in a vindaloo. So if they're reading this, PM me.

I can't believe he would do, he is too thick to live abroad.

I suspect it was Chelsea who he wanted to sign for last time, when the thugs turned up at his house, & I suspect it is them again this time but rags would rather he went elsewhere.

The quotes from Moyes suggest he is leaving. Moyes saying he isn't for sale means nowt, as he did the same With Lescott whilst Everton were talking to us behind the scenes.

kagawa, the mexican, or welbeck?
will they actually sign a big name striker (who is even left out there)?
Or will they just rely on the rapist? (would be fantastic if he gets injured in the first game of the season this year)

First game after the window closes for van rapist's injury.

I imagine kagawa will fill the rooney spot in the filth's team but with a lot less less swearing.

I did post earlier in this thread that Rooney's agent was talking to Soriano so there might be credibility to the rumours.

Pretty sure the real Martin Samuel isn't on Twitter.

Personally hope Shrek stays. Otherwise he gives them about £25m fee and £250k a week to throw at someone better - Stick £20m on the fee and go for Bale. Let them keep the fat one who will cause problems behind the scenes and is coming towards the end of his career - he's been playing first team football for 11 years. Not many manage more than that and with the weight and smoking etc, he's been hard on his body. I'm expecting an injury next season that he never really recovers from and I'd rather it was them that lost their money on it.
