Away tickets? (Sunderland, November 10)

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Away tickets? (Sunderland, November 10)

Postby mr_nool » Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:49 am

What would the chance of me getting an away ticket to the Sunderland game on Sunday November 10 be?
Don't have any loyalty points, so it'd had to be through "unofficial channels" I reckon. how would I go about it?

I'm going to a scouse 1 home game on the Saturday (my kid brother is a fan - he's turning 30, so we're getting him a trip to see his team), and would see it as a wasted opportunity not to see City when I'm in England anyway. I've also never been to an away game, which is something i would really like to experience.

Cheers mate!
I want to book flights quite soon, since it gets more expensive if I wait longer. I might just gamble and book my return flight for Monday anyway. Worst case scenario is that I get an idle Sunday in Manchester (and that I have to fork out for an extra hotel night).

Why not catch a ferry back if you're up at Sunderland? It'd be something different...

Id say given our pathetic record at that place in recent times, youd have a decent chance. Depends on how many tkts we get but if you are giving plenty of notice, someone on here will likely have a spare or two.

Bring your binoculars to the game, as the away fans are plonked way up top now at that place - something we should do at City too sticking them a long way from the pitch.

Cheers mate, but ticket is (sort of) already sorted. A gentleman has promised to let me buy one using his SC.
The only question remaining now is what the best way of getting to Sunderland is. Train?

Who needs prozac when god´s own are playing (and your tanked up on ale)?
Supporters club coach would be ace, as long as it's not more trouble getting to where it's leaving from than to actually get to Sunderland ;-)

Sounds great mate! I can also get a ticket through LAHAD, but I guess it'd be easier if I got it through you.
I'm defo on regarding the train as well! I'll get in touch as soon as the match tickets go up for sale on the OS.

I actually think having the away fans where we have them makes for a better atmosphere at the games.
