I quite liked that about him, actually.
In the end, and as many people probably knew before he even arrived, Maicon is not the professional that Vieira is, and it didn't help that he got injured when he did and that the 352 never took hold.
No ill will towards the player ... but it's good that he's moving on.
That's a good summary.
His only performance of note was the Spurs home game, where he did change the game when he came on. Unfortunately, he just doesn't have enough in the tank to play regular Premier League football, or even as a frequent sub.
Good luck to him with whatever he does next. At least it's another player on a big salary off the wage bill. It would be a bonus if we could get any sort of fee for him too!
Supposedly £4M fee, if we turn a profit on him I think I'd have a stroke.

Good business indeed!

Nonsense. Kolarov occasionally [strike]fouls[/strike] stops an attacker but with Maicon you don't even have hope.

Every time the ball got played out to the right wing against Supersport I was wondering where the fuck Kolarov was.
I thought our lineup at the back was...
Richards--Kompany--Garcia--Also Garcia.

Sad to say but this statement is 100% correct.

Funny thing was that I actually started to seriously think which one of them is "better". Jeezes, I hope we are done now with fullbacks who can't defend.

Now THAT'S incredible. The Spafia are really earning their wages here.
