Euros and World Cup remain on Free to Air TV in UK

Postby Wonderwall » Thu Jul 18, 2013 9:09 am

Fifa and Uefa have lost an appeal against a European ruling that the World Cup and Euro Championships must be shown on free-to-air TV in the UK. In 2011, the European General Court said the UK could keep the events on a list of "protected" events of national sporting interest broadcast for free.

So the horrible corrupt governing bodies cant make a mint out of satellite TV companies and force the ordinary peoples hand into getting satellite TV. ha ha, GOOD.

The court said it "dismisses the appeals brought by Fifa and Uefa in their entirety".

Slimy little money-grubbing fucler, stick that in your back pocket instead of a bung.
