Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I loved watching Kinky but as I have said before, the guy was well over-rated.
I agree entirely with MRM's large post above. Not the CV of a world class player and there is a reason for that!

He was quality defender. Assured and very good on the ball. Things went sour between him and the club in the end and he said some things he shouldn't have said but that doesn't change the fact that he was second best central defender we had in 90's (Colin Hendry being the best, what a fuck up it was selling him).
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

selling colin hendry was madness, but its what i expect of city.
i was only a young lad when keith curle was playing but i can still remember thinking he was dreadful lol.

Kinky was a class act for City at the time but he was very much like Robinho who goes walk about. I posted the Foe thread and it was meant as a compliment to the man. I asked for peoples opinions about a comparison to maybe somebody who is playing now. Younger fans might find it offensive but sometimes drawing comparisons is a way to remind you of how a team has moved on. I love talking about past players either past or present.
My wife says " You only support City because they keep going down on you"
