Aside from short balls in the box (which could, essentially be fed to any of our players)....that lovely sliced ball into Dzeko from Alvaro was the first time in a long time I can remember one of our strikers effectively picking the other out.

I bet the players were glad it was only 40 mins per half in those humid conditions and shit pitch ! With Pellegrini only joining up at the last minute it was plainly obvious we adopted last seasons formation with the same players apart from Ferdinandinho who,s first touch and passing game looks to be top class , he can also tackle aswell when needed , deffo a possible upgrade on DeJong and that style of player. Negredo showed some real strength and class in his cameo , also as has been pointed out with the size of player we have we should be doing loads better on our corners , it was baffling at times this afternoon ? Nasri deffo looks interested again and Dzeko looked sharp although arguably he should have had a hatrick ? maybe the keeper pulled off a couple good saves ? and lastly yes Quinn was a fucking pain in the arse yet again what a loathesome cunt he has turned into !

On Negredo,

In 20-25mins today, he showed himself to have 2-3x the pace of Dzeko and an infinitely better first touch, as well as being far stronger and more mobile.

I assumed he was signed as a rival/back up to Dzeko but looking at what he showed today, Dzeko has to do something drastic to stop him jumping him in the pecking order.

Negredo looks classy.
