Swales era. Was playing outside left for my local football team and Peter Barnes was my idol. Started watching him in 1976 just before the league cup final. He scored the first and Denis got the 2nd. Waited a long time after for our first trophy. It's been a long and painful/delightful journey but I'm enjoying every minute of it now. Long may it continue. CTID.

Born in another country, but City's my adopted club after my (then) girlfriend introduced me to her (City) family and I have been watching games with them. I'm no longer with her, but City remained with me. It all started 1-2 years before Thaksin took over.

As a follow-on to this: those that started supporting City after 'childhood' (say 12-13 years old), what were your main reasons? I know a few have touched on the topic here, but there must be more...
