Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

With our squad bustling with quality players who do you think will get player of the year for 2013/14
It's a hard one to call, I'm torn between 3 players;
Navas: Because of his pace, dribbling and and crosses (I think he'll top the assists list)
Fernandinho: Can see this guy just be above all expectations and become so integral to the cause
Silva:, With the new arrivals, I think David will have a new mojo
So my vote goes to.................
David Silva

Navas could hit the ground running so to speak. I don't think he will have much adjusting to do to get used to the Prem since his game is largely based on speed.

Mine is going to be Jovetic.
I don't know what it is about him, but something tells me he is going to be a quality signing and player for us.
He reminds me of Milner, but more skilful. I'm not sure if he has Milner's work rate yet though because I've only seen him in a handful of games. But I think he will link midfield to attack brilliantly.

I'll go for Vinny here.
Or failing that, another long shot, Dzeko.

If it's a defender City will have won nowt - reminds me of when Richard Dunne won it three years in a row. If it's Aguero/Dzecko/Navas, or Jovetic, there'll be trophies by next May.

Um fucking hum, FOUR times in a row.
And it will be Kompany AND we'll win something, maybe two things.

Really you've got to hope for a forward to win it since it generally does suit the attacking ethic we're going for. As such, I personally think Dzeko is going to thrive this season. Just keep him away from the penalty spot so he doesn't embarrass himself.

In the last four years two strikers and two defenders have won the PotY award.
09-10 season it was a forward and we won nothing, then a defender and we won the FA Cup, the next a forward and we won the league and lastly a defender and we won nothing.
Why do people keep saying it needs to be a forward when the evidence says it doesn't matter?

I think dzeko with a proper run and good service could easily break records if he gets a full season up top without overly rotating him.
Not sure that's enough for some people though

Fernandinho.
Watching the preseason matches, he seems to have formed an excellent understanding with Yaya and the others already. He's also very comfortable on the ball and has an excellent engine. I feel there's something special about this boy.

I said Kompany, I'll stick with that. But Fred has an excellent chance, he is very much a complete footballer and alongside Yaya we will have a feared midfield.

I have a sneaking feeling that Edin could have the season of his life

I usually treat my body like a temple. Last night I treated mine like a whorehouse above a liquor store next to a motherfucking Taco Bell.

Dzeko would have been my second choice - if he can be top scorer while unmotivated and in a system that doesn't suit him, what can he do when motivated and in a system that does?
