Amazing to see a team change so much in such little time. Martinez' footballing philosophy taken over by the hump and lump ideals of Coyle.

It's not as if they've had full scale changes either. No passing, no movement, no fucking chance.

Well if this match thread was us playing that Wigan team, we would be fucking slating the performance.

Was a great header but a really dull game. Wigan have been awful to watch; restoring the status quo now Martinez is back, I suppose.

Players should actually be hitting the target with a free header like that though. It's one of the arts of football which has seriously gone downhill in modern times. Most people can't head a ball properly anymore, so a routine free header becoms a 'great header' because most people these days will miss it.

With the quality that United possess, I was expecting more from them as well. It's still pre-season but they don't look the best.

I've noticed that the ITV coverage has turned to a Rag love-in, as usual.

I played football with a caser as a kid. A leather ball that became a boulder when wet. If the weight didn't get you the laces would. What surprises me is players heading the ball with their eyes closed let alone those faeries who jump out of the way in the wall in free kicks.

With the quality we have I expected more of us yesterday...
These pre season games really mean fuck all and are will be completely forgotten when the real season kicks off.

Dull game tbh. Zaha loks lively but unsure about his end product.

From Kevin Kilbane who seems to be watching a different match:

"Manchester United were outstanding for much of the first half, with Ryan Giggs and Robin van Persie instrumental.

"David De Gea was barely seen in the first half, but he has developed a presence now where he looks like he should be there."

So did many but we weren't playing a team that look as though they should be in a Sunday League.

I'm trying to work out what I'm watching. Did Wigan even turn up!

Rags haven't lost the ability to score goals without actually doing anything.

I think somebody's put sleeping pills in Wigans drinks. Either that or they've stuck them in mine, the fuckers are sending me to sleep.

I was wondering why there were so many red shirts in the crowd but just read that Wigan only sold 6500 of their allocation. Teams with that support shouldn't be anywhere near the Prem, especially with someone like Coyle at the helm.

Now Martinez has gone I hope they tumble back down to where they came from.

Sorry DW.

To make matters worse, Deep Purlple frontman Ian Gillan has just come on for Wigan.

No doubt we'll have to listen to all the Rag lovers go on and on about Moyes winning his first "trophy", yet when we won it seemingly that didn't count as a trophy.
It is making the cup final loss to Wigan even more galling as we could be kicking their Rag arses now

What's wrong with Evra, did that sting his piss-flaps?
