On the Rooney peice, does anybody think that Mourinho's just having them over? I look at Chelseas squad and think it's one of, if not thee best squads in the Prem. They've also got 4 strikers on the books with Schurle (?) coming in and their midfield is a match for any team. Just seems a bit of 'muchness' if they really want Rooney but if they don't and Mourinho is just being 'Special', then he's already put them on the back-foot as they'll probably be stuck with an unhappy player.

Would Taggart sell to one of their main rivals? I think not.

I think Real Madrid have just shown them exactly why they need Rooney.

To make it worse, Sevilla had just played the day before in the Europa League.

Anyway, nice one CamelGob, the fans really showed you what they thought.

Really? Wonder why I didn't see that on SSN?

(Saw it on BBC teletext though!!)

I don't believe this ever happened ,coz the mail has 10 pages of sport and not 1 line about a manure defeat at the swamp.

You're right, I had to search pretty hard to find any reference to it.

Seems the BBC have deviated from the norm in CamelGobs case:

[urlnp=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14428172]Ginger Bollox Testimonial[/urlnp]

[urlnp=http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18080559]Harry Gregg[/urlnp]

Giggs' page looks to have crashed. Neville didn't get a photo gallery for obvious reasons.

If the filth are indeed in the mess we all hope they will be by Christmas (it's far from a given) I just can't see Bacon tarnishing his reputation trying to turn round that lot. They need to spend money fairly urgently I think. Bacon is a too fond of himself to risk failing.

This would be the ideal situation; occasional periods of improvement & optimism followed by another slide backwards. Just enough to keep the board happy. The fans can start a 'Moyes Out' campaign but then be reminded they did the same with Ferguson & need to be patient, etc etc.

I'm with you two. I'm looking forward to them having a slow, painful slide into the mire with just enough hope remaining so that it ends in an era of: 'Next year 'll be our year....'

One of the most telling things for me was when Taggart addressed the crowd and said that they '..had to give him time..'.

If, as Taggart had stated, he had the '..best squad ever..' and they were able to spend big on top class players to bolster the '..best squad ever..' then surely any half decent manager should be able to walk the job?

All ties have now be cut to the Taggart era. Taggart has gone, his closest ally in Gill has flown the nest and all his training staff have been dispensed with. Moyes is on his own having to deal with a monster of a set-up where he isn't really in charge like Taggart was. He is now a pawn for the Glazer's who now have their own man to in place, the money man known as 'The Equaliser'. Let's hope the name is something they are playing for in future years time.

Another brilliant piece of PR today from the Rags. Just to keep specualtion going and keep their fans and investors on side, they reveal that Valencia has reverted back to his original number of 25. Yes, you guessed it, number 7 is now free for somebody to step right in.

I wonder who they have in mind?

I hear the underwear model is without a club. Retirement doesn't seem to put the RAGs off.

I've just posted a link to a piece from the Independant regarding how this new Belgian kid who plays on the wing is the answer to everything & they don't need any signings.

By a bizarre conicidence, I've just read quotes from Moyes & Brian Giggs BOTH saying that 'if' they don't manage tio sign anyone, it's not a problem, as they have a great squad anyway.

What an amazing coincidence that the Independant should run a story like that, at the exact same time.

Their Faustian pact is about to be cashed in. Hallelujah

Okay I've had too much coffee but club administration for the scum would not be enough. I want it broken up sold expunged from society and the satanists who follow thrown into the fiery furnace and to spend eternity up to their shandy drinking necks in boiling vomit.

I read that nauseating piece and could not for the life of me understand the love-in that accompanied. Portraying the memory of the Munich disaster with this kid, and his ilk, was way beyond my comprehension, as if the writer was crying into his cornflakes at what is going on at the swamp, promoting the Busby way and the far from real story that the likes of Januzaj were brought in as near adults.

One of the most partisan pieces I've read and never expected something like that in a national paper.

Why don't they just get on with it and say they're bidding for Messi too. Utter knobheads but the biggest spazs of the lot are the journos who drink it all in.

So - who is the biggest rag loving media type of the lot?

Far too much competition to make a judgement on that.
