Gollum looks out of his depth, I do hope this continues through the season.

Nasti won't be out that long and if we buy that will probably place him second choice thus hampering his development. I just think we have enough cover at this point with lescott and Richards (and others but those are the two I trust). I just worry if we buy nasti will lose out on time when he comes back.

At 20 years old, Nasti has no right to expect to be an automatic 1st choice. Neither does Kompany just because he is captain or Lescott just because he wants to play for England.
There are enough games for all of them to play a decent amount, & those who perform best should get the big ones. Pepe could also play in front of the back 4.

I do think the sort of money currently being talked about is a joke for a 30 year old.Whilst I sort of agree nobody has a divine right to play I have no doubt Vinnie will automatically if fit and unless literally rested. IMO we shouldn't get another center back as between Joleon and Micah we have enough cover.
Pepe might be experienced and with plenty of qualities but I see one of them as being a violent and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he came to the prem that he would be sent off in his first 15 games or so.

I agree. The money being talked about Pepe is far too much. We should be fine with Kompany, Lescott, Nastasic and Richards as our 4 possible centre backs.
We have Boyata too who Pellegrini may see as the 4th CB, with Richards focusing on RB with Zab.
There is also Garcia. Whilst he looked pretty poor in pre-season, I felt he did ok last season when he played at the back so he is another option too.
If we were to buy one more player, it'd be a left-sided midfielder for me.

Garcia did not do alright mate, & that's coming from someone who foolishly thought he could do. If you remember, Mancini put him there for a spell v Wigan & he was so bad that he had to move him back out again; even Mancini was forced to admit to himself he had made a mistake, which is as rare as rocking horse shit.
