He's not very good at maths is he? There's 19 teams he could face in those first five games so that's a rather large percentage of teams he will come up against whoever is picked.

I'm not sure what he's complaining at, apart from us and Chelsea in the first 6 games the rest are mid-table teams. He's always got the ref to look after him anyway.

He could have been more positive and seen it as a chance to take points off rivals early on and stop them gaining momentum, he obviously doubts his ability to lead the rags! (which he should

What a tosser! Maybe the pressures telling or he's getting all the excuses in a row as he will be 6 points behind us and Chelsea after 8 games. The appointment of Gollom might be a huge mistake maybe bacon face engineered so he could step in and save the rags in a month or two. And he's after fabregas again god help us the rag at work thinks they are about to sign tranny.

Oh dear methinks the pressure is already telling on Golum! I can't believe what he said as just made himself look like a complete idiot! Unless I'm mistaken, we all have to play each team in the PL twice? Once at home, once away. So what difference does it make when? I could understand it if the fixtures list meant the Rags had to play us 5 times this season (how much fun would that be?!) but no, I've checked, and guess what...Rags still only playing every other team twice. Once at home, once away!

Perhaps this explains his appearance as a TV pundit last night...getting some work experience in for when he is sacked in, ooh lets say about 8 weeks time? ;-)

See he's already got used to complaining.
Their fixture list could go either way. If they don't start well we could find ourselves 5/6 points ahead of them.
However if they do start well, they've already got a lot of tough fixtures out the way.
Think someone on here said that it's better to have the tough ones at the start, rather than having the tough ones a few after a champions league quarter final etc. No point speculating too much until it's happened.

I've seen the opinion about it being a good start because they get tough games done. But you have to win them!

It's certainly a crap start but we've had so many in the past whilst Utd have been home to some promoted duds, that there isn't much grounds to complain.

Plus you dont go all negative about it do you? Surely he's got to project positivity.

You can just see how Gollum's feeble mind has been working. Day 1 must make an impact. Make a bid for a big name commensurate with him now being the most important manager in the shire. Ho-hum but who? Is Roy Race for sale at Melchester he wonders. probably getting too old now so he goes out and buys a copy of Shoot and flicking through the pages notices someone called Neymar has signed for Barca and this might mean someone called Fabregas has become second choice. The logic train in full flow now so he has a chat with Edward Deadwood and they send out a succession of ever rising skywards offers despite the said player saying he isn't interested and said club saying he isn't for sale. This confuses poor old Smeagol because surely the rags are so enormously huge that any player will join if they make a bid no matter how inappropriate.

Panicking that either he is the problem or that his new club are actually about to go into supernova his eyes swivel wildly around in his head and find their way to a signed photo of his predecessor. Ah thinks he yes. What would Sir do? Eureka - that's it thats it when things are going tits up change the agenda, blame the ref (even though he was actually named in the starting 12). Yes yes it is the refs fault. . . . er oh fuck the season hasn't started. His head falls to his arms on the desk as the sobs rack through his body and the salty tears fall onto the sheet of paper in front of him. Clearing his eyes with back of his hands he stares down at the now bedewed sheet of A4, the fixture list. A watery smile can be seen as he picks up the telephone and his fingers search through the Rolodex full of rag journalists numbers. All is well.

Could go either way though. Perhaps better to play Chelsea away at the start, then playing them after Real Madrid away in the CL etc.
Moyes needs to man up though, everyone plays everyone. Deal with it.

Yeah this is one of bacons old tricks. Highlight an issue and accuse everyone of being against them. Then the ref/lino's give everything their way during the game/run he was moaning about.

If they sell him to Chavski it will hand them the title IMO, if things stay as they are we have a very good chance of winning it. Let's hope Gollum keeps him and he's unhappy about it, no better result for us.
